I've played about 40 hours of live poker this month. stuck 300 think I'm running bad but I've definitely played some hands poorly too.I've been watching the live low stakes no limit series on deuces cracked, and 2 tabling 9max 5nl on bovada. I'll post hands here too. Is there a proper way to post live hands?
1st hand
5 limps to hero in the BB with JTo, hero completes
Pot: 12
Flop: Qc9s8s
Hero is first to act, bets 10, 3 callers
Pot: 52
Turn: 9c
Hero bets 40, 1 caller from EP
Villain is MAWG. I will be honest I started reading about nutrition on reddit so I hadn't been paying much attention to villain, basically no reads other than what's happened in the hand e.g he limped from early position and called 2 streets.
Pot: 132
River: 4c
~200 Effective stacks
Hero bets 70 with plan to fold to reraise

What is MAWG
What does nutrition have to do with villain?
It is actually not the greatest spot to get a ton of value from Qx since the pot is limped; going to significantly reduce the QK/AQ in their ranges. Still there are plenty of Q+spade hands, worse queens, etc. that can call turn but river you honestly don't get called by a ton worse unless someone peeled flop with a9/9j/910 (which you block and might just dump flop). |

I'd guess MAWG is "Middle aged white guy" although I have no real idea. |

Yeah middle-aged white guy. So we're just c/f river? What about a 25% pot bet? |

I dont get how does Hero complete preflop if there are 5 limps?
Anyways i like your line at first glance, not sure about river sizing, but the optimal is probably either a bit smaller or bigger, too lazy to check and board too fucked up to guess |

preflop spot I didn't know what to do in:
I raise to 10 with AK in late middle position, player directly to my left 3bets to 35. ~225 effective stacks. He had previously 3bet me about 2 orbits previously in his first hand at the table. What's my move here? |

At nl 200 live, it's a pretty easy fold. |

Really ez river bet. a fish is going to have close to 100% of combos of T9 and J9 here which means we dont have to come up with a ton of combos of other hands that he calls with to make it a slam dunk
I didnt read comments before. This is about the hand in OP |

Been a while since I played 1/2 live but I find it hard to believe we should fold AK (over flatting) to a 3bet, in LP, to a guy who is 3betting us for the 2nd time in the first 30 hands |

I dont like flatting ever in this spot and would feel a flip at best if i were to jam it in. People in live do not balance their 3bet range one bit. Its almost always value hands to them.

i flatted, check called 30 on a Q high flop, turn was c/c, river was a K and I lead for 40 and he folded then moved to another table.
I guess my reasoning for giving him a wider range was I was opening lots of hands and he was a youngish guy so I was giving him credit. Even using that logic it's a mistake to flat, should have been a 4bet. |
