What to look for in a screen to play poker? If someone for example wants to play up to 12 or so tables on different poker rooms and has a somewhat big hud what should be a good size and resolution to see everything comfortably? |

Dual 27 inch 2560 x 1440 if you want to be really comfortable. I had a 30 inch when I grinded 10 tables, and thats how it maxed... It was too small for 12.

Thanks for the suggestions. Dual monitor seems a bit bad in 2016 though because it's probably better to focus on playing your best game nowadays rather than mass grinding. Maybe 30 or 32 inches is best at the moment. |

you can use more than one screen :-) but i would prefer min. 21" or larger depends on the resolution of your graphic card. i imported a lot of hands with hhsmity and i only use 5 Factors in the HUD statistics. its never to small in 6-max, but if i play fullring i am getting problems on a 17" notebook it fits not the size anymore and some apponents cards are bigger thand the other so i recommend you min. 19"++++
have a nice play... cheers!!! |

If you can throw the money in, get the new cuved dell 32", can't remember the model. Those curved monitors are sick.
As for multi-tabling, a lot of people use 2*XX screen or central 30+side 1*20 or 2*20 (since when you pivot them 180 degrees they are same height). It all comes down to preferences tbh, I prefer one big screen (using dell 27 atm, but I dont play 12) or one big with two on sides. Basically I don't like the dual monitor setup, as I prefer to have a clear "main monitor" thing.

Dunno how its in other countries, but when i was looking monitors around 3-4 months back here it was cheaper to get a TV than a good monitor, what the fuck ?
Targeted 12 tabling resolution screens |

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time | |

Yeah those long curved monitors are pretty sick. Thanks that's a great suggestion. I am leaning towards these atm, got too much shit when playing in my 23'' monitors anyway it's pretty tough without something big and comfortable. Even just playing 8 tables with spreadsheet, equilab, stars, randomizer, script and tablescanturbo it's just not comfortable enough to have 2 smaller screens. |

You can use 1 monitor for actual play and the other monitor for table management, music, etc.
Resolution doesn't really matter because poker tables scale to the size of your monitor, the actual size of your monitor is more important. 4k is still slightly preferred though because scaling tables too small is ugly sometimes. I made a monitor buying thread not so long ago, you can read in there for good monitor candidates. |
