Toronto in 5 (John wall exposed as fraud, one of the worst shooters in the league, Will get a lot of open shots due to sagging off, will shoot <40% in the series).
Spurs/Clips in 7, dno this series is super close. Spurs seem to have more hype, NBA will prob rig it so Spurs win. Esp since spurs / warriors WCF = $$$$$$$
Houston > Dallas in 5, Rondo exposed as worst shooter in the NBA. Blame loss on him.
Rest of series are not so interesting. |

i think Toronto/Wash seems like the closest series, slightly leaning Toronto so i'll say Raptors in 7.
most looking forward to SA/LAC series. kind of feel like Spurs take it in 6 semi-comfortably though. |

From a betting perspective, I don't really like any of the prices on the series lines
MIL at +500 to beat the Bulls seems reasonable I guess...
I was thinking the Grizz at -180 vs the Blazers was probably pretty good but I hesitated on betting it because of all the injury concerns with Grizz and thinking I was probably a bit too biased towards them in the first place. That line is now at MEM -230.
I guess I would also say Mavs at +220 vs the Rockets is decent. I don't know who the hell will guard Harden but I think you can kind of trust Carlisle to come up with a good game plan and way to beat the Rockets, plus DMO and Beverly being out really hurt Houston's chances I think.
My predictions:
West ~
1. GSW vs 8. NO - GSW sweeps
4. POR vs 5. MEM - MEM in 6
3. LAC vs 6. SA - SA in 7
2. HOU vs 7. DAL - DAL in 7
East ~
1. ATL vs 8. BKN - ATL sweeps
4. TOR vs 5. WAS - TOR in 6
3. CHI vs 6. MIL - CHI in 7
2. CLE vs 7. BOS - CLE in 5 |

^^ I dont see how MIL goes 7, they would be lucky to win 2, prob lose in 5. Chicago is 100% healthy, they are v v good when everyone is healthy, gibson / rose are huge for them |

Dallas is the toughest team to predict for me, seems like they could win in 6 or get swept. Parsons still questionable for game 1...he said he was hoping to get some minutes in during the last couple of regular season games and he never did. i'm assuming he'll play all the playoff games, just wondering if the knee is healing slower than expected. Ellis has been inconsistent and playing hurt, i think he'll be ok though. Rondo looked like he was going to be AIDS after the trade but lately he seems to be integrating into their offense a little better. Dirk isn't Dirk anymore, but there's always the hope he steps it up for the playoffs. Chandler looking great though, should be a good matchup fighting Dwight. just overall seems like a lot of variance in how that group could end up playing. |

Only one #4 and one #6 seed won a NBA championsip. 100% of other chamions were 3-1. Saying a 6 seed will easily win is a little bit of a stretch..
NBA Champions by seeding. |

I just think Popovich really doesn't care too much about the regular season because it's too long and his guys are old. So he's wwilling to sit all hsi starters even when they are healthy. His whole goal was to keep his guys rested/healthy during the regular season...just squeeze into the playoffs and pick their ideal first round opponent. If they wanted the one seed they could have had it.
They are prime. They have a full team. Last year they won by almost 20 almost every game. They have teh same team. Kawhi Leonard is just getting better.

Yeah, you're probably right about that. The Bulls have just been so dysfunctional lately and Rose coming back might actually hurt them ironically. I mean ffs there have already been reports out that their coaching is starting to look for a new job. I guess I was just saying at +500 (edit: +600 now), seems like MIL could win enough for that price to be worth it |

Vegas is already giving the Spurs credit for those things when they give them 4-1 odds to win the title (behind Warriors/Cavs but significantly ahead of everyone else), which i assume is the best odds a team without homecourt in the 1st round has ever had. it wouldn't be surprising if the Spurs won again this year, but they have a tougher road than last year - this year's Warriors are better than any team they faced in the west last year, and the Cavs are better than last year's Heat. there's also a legitimate chance Pop gets out-coached for the first time in his life. nobody is winning this year without much of a problem. |
