In a society of your creation, would you give soldiers the right to vote on whether they fight in invasive/occupational war or would you have war be in the power of a few instead of those who fight it?

Depends upon seniority/rank. Should a bunch of privates get to vote on what generals and commanders think is best? No, they lack experience and judgement for their vote to hold any value. It's like a job, the company has leaders who have proven themselves. Now upper management may vote among themselves which direction to take, and I would expect top ranking military personnel to have some input as well, so in that regard there is a kind of "vote" taking place.

i think thats a pretty bad system

80% of the voters can easily be manipulated by giant posters and liar tv shows, who has the more money to make these gets the power. At least thats how it works in hungary

Yeah I mean it doesnt really matter if the elite control everything or if there's an equal vote, since the elite will manipulate the voters into voting for their interests anyway. I live in the USA and pretty much half the fucking people here shouldnt be allowed to vote, even if I'm one of them.

My older brother is an expert actuary and economist and he says it would be a terrible idea to give the soldiers to vote because then there would never be any war.

Should privates, get the right to vote to invade and occupy Vietnam or Iraq? or should the Bush family since their blood is royal get to decide where 10,000s and 100,000s peoples blood get spilled?

Resources and territory, both which are limited on this earth, will always make us go to war. Just like any animal, but hey if we figure out how to have infinite sources for both we have a chance at world peace. Wars nowadays are just disguised by dollars and religious signs but its really about resources that we're dominating the fuck out of each other.
