this can be a million things i don't think you are looking at this objectively.
i can see random Ax trying to go to showdown for free and assuming "you never have anything" hence u hit your flush.
once villain calls turn, i would be pretty upset at this river for potentially killing your action, as i think you are going to get huge value on this paired board from other Ax as you have a Q kicker.
but in this specific instance you seem pretty upset he hit his flush and you called and lost which is a dumb way to feel about the hand |

I couldn't care less about this single hand, I just think I'm a calling station and my final decision is always 'I'm not folding to less than a 1/2 pot bet, I call', and I think that in the long-run against the people I'm playing against in live games folding might be better. One of the issues with small bet sizing of strong hands is that when perfectly balanced with bluffs you can't bluff as much, but if most bad players can't ever be bluffing here and have never heard of 'balance' folding to ridiculously small bet is best. I dono.
So you are saying that you think he could be blocking with weaker aces a lot of the time? Maybe so. Again, my thinking is so unsophisticated, I hate folding any made hands to really small bets. |

I actually think it is a good bet by villain not fishy at all. You are likely to check back Ax on that river so he leads to get value and you may fold to 2/3-pot but with this sizing you make the crying call. |

i think we're good here at least sometimes versus the random Ax that wants to see showdown. if he's especially skeptical he could even have Jx trying to bluff or block ur bluff, cause he doesn't wanna check/call vs a polarized range. crying call, note his hand, move on |

I disagree here. Maybe in a vacuum this is a good bet size, but that doesn't mean anything. For example, it's a pretty fucking terrible bet size if you were drawing to a flush since you actually lose money after calling 2/3 pot bet on the turn to bet 1/3 pot on the river (and not even get called every time). That's textbook how to not play your flush draws. It could perhaps be a good bet size if villain has a made hand and doesn't want to see a check behind. So it's pretty situational imo. |

if its 4 ways to the flop at 20 a piece, shouldn't the pot be 80 bucks? :D
Anyways, just from my guts i wouldn't respect myself if i fold the river. just thinking about it feels nasty. your hand is way too strong.
from a numbers point of view he has like what a 1 in 5 of hitting flush on river? and like phexac said if he bets only 125 when he does, his turn call is pretty bad because it only yeilded him 4:1 even with the implied odds of you calling. so yeah if he called turn with flush draw PAY THE MAN his money
combined with the fact that people do spazzy shit all the time, i rather call it off than fold and not know and make a thread about it on LP JAJAJAJA |

Whoops, you are definitely right, there was something about the hand I remembered incorrectly. Was a while ago now though, I'm not sure what I messed up. Maybe I ended the hands with quads too or something instead. |

The last part of this is actually a big reason to call--there is a lot of money to be made here by calling people's retarded random bets. |
