I actually thought OP was stating it as a 'huurrrr hurr, stupid americans!' post, I was merely stating that I don't think it's a fair assumption at all. As much as I hate the governments policies, and the idiocy of a large % of the country, I know there's tons of really good people there too. That's what I was trying to get at.

Id be pissed if i was sent to train guys to defend their

I dunno whamm, I personally find it hard to sympathize with someone who voluntarily decides to join the military, knowing full well what they're getting themselves into, know what I mean? Maybe that makes me sound like an asshole, I dunno. I'm currently trying to join the Canadian military as an officer, but there's no way in hell I'm joining the army. People have choices my friend! He wanted to play soldier, now he's playing soldier.

The videos of training the afghanis is even worse. All of the soldiers are just teenagers and young adults getting high on heroin and goofing off. When Taliban come into their towns they immediately switch sides or run off. The Afghani leaders the old military leaders on the bases are all just pedophiles and they keep little boys on the base to fuck - huge problem in all the bases. It's just fucked.

i share your sentiments. which iono if im allowed to do being an american. im sure we (US Gov) do a lot of bad stuff and our economic policies in a global sense has put a lot of there countries in really bad positions. but there are certain things we (US Gov) do well and are way ahead in certain aspects.
