Nothing at all. Three drinks a day that spans over as little as 8-12 hours is nothing. I'm sure there are even some benefits to it.

It depends on which expert you ask, which study you read, and which health condition you are concerned about.

This is the only correct answer.

Other than, yes, it's not good for you.

its considered 25-50ml/daily alcohol to be good for you - depending on what type of alcohol
going out of lane could potentially have the effects of cocaine in the long term

I wonder if the data in wiki is considering pure alcohol, like if the drink is 40% alcohol and you sip 100ml, do they consider that as 100ml or 40ml, makes a great difference

I read an article recently debunking the whole '2 glasses of wine a day is good for you' train of thought. It was from a reputable source too, maybe bbc? I just searched for ~5 minutes and can't find it, so, whatever.

But I mean, booze is a poison. And no, not a 'pshhh' poison like fluoride, but a real, hardcore poison. As such, I find it hard to think even the tiniest amount is good for you. Unless you want to let loose and party wheoooooo!

Article by Alan Aragon (one of the most respected nutrition and fitness researchers nowadays)

i think it definitely is poison. i think the ability to go out and hang with coworkers and blow off steam, this actually what the "health benefits" of alcohol are.

a) you have friends/coworkers you can drink with
b) you talk shit over
c) that community helps u manage stress
d) the relieved damage to your heart through releasing stress >>> the damages to your liver

like if you didnt have parts a,b and c, i don't think the 1 cup or 2 cups of wine will have any health benefits.

Way to ask a question and then ignore the answers. The wiki article posted in the comments lists at least a dozen of health benefits of moderate consumption.

"Does alcohol destroy muscle mass? Maybe, but you have to drink a lot. Most of the human research on alcohol's effect on muscle-protein metabolism is on flat-out alcoholics who chronically consume more than 100 grams of ethanol — at least seven drinks — per day. Between one- and two-thirds of these drunks end up with "alcohol myopathy," a condition characterized by muscle weakness and atrophy, frequent falls, and difficulty walking. (14) The high alcohol intake tends to displace essential nutrients, which means casual drinkers aren't likely to lose their hard-earned muscle mass."

sorry dude. this isn't exactly what im looking for. i dont feel like muscle mass = health. alot of interesting stuff in there, but i was looking for health issues, not body building ones.

'Bottom line, alcohol isn't essential for good heath, and there's no reason to think it improves your performance in anything. But at the same time, moderate drinking (up to two drinks a day) might help protect your heart without having a negative effect on your quest to look good naked."

performance, iono if that's health related. he says nothing about alcohol and health. iono why u so mad

It's much better to stick to your bankroll limits. You'll be bust soon with taking so many shots a day.

Also, that song is not a song.

Alcohol is not poison. Cannabis is.

I admit my link is geared toward the fitness side, but it does mention boosted immune system, lowered inflammation and decreased chance of heart disease.

The wikipedia link posted by goose58 includes the above mentioned plus a variety of other benefits of moderate consumption (reduces chances of getting kidney stones, gallstones, metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis).

so when you say

i think it definitely is poison. i think the ability to go out and hang with coworkers and blow off steam, this actually what the "health benefits" of alcohol are.

it seems like you didn't read any of it. Which is fair enough, but then why bother asking?

Peace of mind cant be bought.
