Well dont know how to feel about that.... Its only 4h away from where i live .... i have a free weekend and i am still not going to the show....
Kinda feel bad about not going but at the same time i just cant see myself spending ~ 220€ for this card (100€ ticket + fuel + eating and hotel) ......

Damn did read Matt Brown vs. Robbie Lawler will take place at UFC on FOX 12 .... if that was in Berlin id not even hesitate for a second...

As for UFC Berlin i feel kinda like PuertoRican
I just dont like Mousasi as a fighter .... Yes he is skilled .... but also yes he is kinda boring

I think Carmont > Dollaway
Barnatt > Strickland (I dont know who strickland is tbh ^^ and Barnatt is pretty good)
Niinimaki - Backstrom (No Idea who Niinimaki is and i only know Backstrom cause he knocked out my friend max coga who together with me did win that FAC Tourney in 2009 ^^ (i won 66kg max 80kg)

Nick Hein is a Judo guy who was in combat club cologe for a long time and Germany Nr.1 in 85KG class up till 2011 (185lbs)
Then he lost the German Championsship 185lbs dominating the first round and then getting a sick beating by Sebastian Risch

In Germany in MMA rules were a bit more hardcore than UFC ^^ (Oldschool ^^ ... u may remeber Jonas Billstein accidently soccer kicking at Bellator ? )

Since than Nick has had only wins
He has made a sick cut down to 155 for 2014 and left combat club cologe to join a new team
So naturally he should be biiiig for 155..... (He has the natural frame for a 185lbs guy)
combined with his strong judo might be enough to get a win

Rest of the card i only know Peter Sobotta who is a really cool guy and trained a lot with Pascal Krauss and Dean Lister but hasnt fought anyone worth of name since his release from UFC

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 28/05/2014 04:28

Have a small bet $50 on Munoz here. He's +250 and I think that this line should be closer. Mousasi has been pretty disappointing since basically 2009. Munoz in his last few fights has looked really good. After the loss against Weidman he looked like he reinvented himself and shows up in way better shape than before.

Mousasi is ridiculously boring but he is winning this one by decision i think.Munoz will shoot for the takedown constantly and if he can not finish in the first couple of rounds he will lose.
I think the prelims with so many unpopular fighters will be much better than the main card.

Shitty card, I mean the last time I was at an German UFC Event was like Wanderlei Silva vs Rich Franklin and Cain Velasquez vs Check Kongo.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_99

Like almost every matchup was with known and good fighters or up and comer. Now its just a pile of shit with a "main event".
Munoz is a great guy but I don't think he can ever get further than top3-5 and is not getting younger.
Mousasi is a great fighter but he always looks bored. He didn't improve that much last 4+ years and its sad to see.
I mean he was doing really good few years ago, very entertaining but nowdays I am not interested in watching him fight.

heh if it makes you feel any better the overall quality of UFC cards has dropped significantly lately since they started doing like 50 shows a year instead of about 20.

I agree Mousasi' demeanor in the cage is annoying. He always gets praised for being calm but he is far to relaxed and it causes him to be complacent and lose fights. Reminds me of Frank Mir but with a solid chin.

Only thing keeping Mousasi from being an underdog in this fight is the fact that Munoz has a paper chin. The kick Machida knocked him out with looked like it was blocked and barely even touched Munoz. Mousasi should be able to land a decent shot here and finish it. Maybe via hitting a sweep and finishing Munoz with GnP.

Well King Mo won vs Mousasi because of wrestlefucking him hard. I think Mousasi has better take down defense by now and his ground game is underrated. On paper Mousasi is the better fighter I mean damn look at his stats he is like 34-4 he has fought Hector Lobard, Melvin Manhoef, Ronaldo Souza, Mark Hunt, Sokoudjou, Keith Jardine, Ovince St. Preux, Mike Kyle and so on while (40 fights in total, while losing 2 decisions/2submissions). In the past 8 years he lost a total of 2 fights and only by decisions: 1fight to King Mo and 1 recently vs Machida (who owned Munoz bad). I mean Munoz will be super motivated and stuff but Mousasi is really experienced.
Mousasi had basically only 2 decisions wins up until the UFC (was either KO or submitting EVERYONE) but his last 2 winning fights were decisions and he just didn't look as hungry/precise as before. I dunno what it is ...his stats and his fights a few years back got me really excited but right now he doesn't seem to be the same fighter. I mean he is only 28 years old with 40fights+ and he had a 1 year layoff before the UFC fights.
Maybe he is just finding his way back into it and we could see a revitalized Mousasi, I sure hope so.

$200 free roll - UFC Fight Night 42 & TUF Brazil Finale
https://www.kountermove.com/join/2691...42-on-ufc-tuf-brazil-3-finale-T-free/

Kinda neat. I wasn't aware they could have multiple cards on the same Kountermove event. It makes it a little easier to pick a team when you have 22 fights to choose from, although only 2-3 of the 22 fights are actually worth watching (on paper).

Mousasi is frustrating but I kind of liked his fight with Machida... I watched it after the fact that, and slow-mo:ed the interesting parts and sped through the boring ones lol

The interesting parts were really cool tho.

Ah I love early MMA. Wake up, coffee, watch MMA with some coffee and a lil of the devil grass. Good stuff.

Funny that Blanco still almost lost that fight. His fight IQ is so fucking terrible. His record is proof of that.
