Nice, sounds like you are making progress. I have some questions if you don't mind answering:

How can you work out so much without over-training?

Do you use steroids, or T-boosting supplements?

On your average day, how much protein are you consuming and from what sources?

Nice stuff, sounds like a good life. Poker, is dying though? Would need to be a nice fishy site and have a mentor at that would be good if you could do swaps.

Adding you on skype. Might get into powerlifting one day.

Over training is a largely dubious and unproperly defined concept. "Symptoms" like bad sleep/regular pain/elevated heart rate are symptoms of just regular training when adapting to heavier loads. I'd say you can only say you are really overtrained when you have rhabdiomylosis.

That said when training 6 days a week I don't do a whole lot of volume, the progress comes from practicing the movements over and over again (I do sets of 1-2-3 reps). I auto regulate that you build into it and when your body is trashed (can't sleep and joint pain) you lift lighter weights. I don't do cardio and stretch properly to keep my muscles at max recovery.

The 4 week on/1 week off scheme to prevent "overtraining" was developed for russian/bulgarian weight lifters in the USRR who trained on jail like condition around the clock on a diet of potatoes and 30g of "meat" at best a day.

As of now I've never done steroids. I once took tribulus (test booster) but its mostly I waste of money I think. I supplement with whey protein, fish oil and an occasional multivitamin.

Not sure on how much protein, but it is always best to err on the side of too much. I regularly eat some sort of meat at lunch, 50g of whey post workout and 2 pounds of salmon (cheaper than meat here ) at night with a block of cheese. Also tuna+past an hour or so after workout, so that would be at least 250g or something.

I think the next step is to move out of my parents house, but before I do that I need to be 100% sure I am good enough at poker to earn at keast modest income together with my savings and my company money. I've been very lazy on the poker realm on february, mostly because I was adapting to squatting everyday (at first I felt like shit all the time), but I think that is somewhat of a rationalization.

.

If you are serious about poker I'd consider just jumping into it, get something like a 6 month visa to Las Vegas and/or Macau or live with some really good players in Vancouver, Thailand, or London.
