Here's a slight update on my weightloss.

I'm playing some very competitive basketball in our City league. My main roles are 3 pointers( which I do fairly well at ) defense and rebounding. I'm not the greatest dribbler since I just became athletic in the last few years.

I went from not being able to run around the block to being able to run over 11 miles. Last summer, I ran in the Fargo Marathon event, I ran the 5k event and the 10k event. (my times were 27:22 and 59:38) This year , Ill be doing the 5k and the Half Marathon.

but overall my sole focus in life is to be able to run a marathon 26.2 miles.
I'm still working on it.

i played sports my entire life and have always been active. i go to jiu jitsu with a guy who was fat his entire life and never played any sports til he started BJJ a few years ago. when it comes to jiu jitsu at least, he is a far far superior athlete to me.

for those of you who are overweight/never tried sports, dont give up. you may unlock potential you never knew you had.

i play basketball all the time as well, i couldn't really dribble at all when I started off playing again so I would go and dribble for 2 hours a day and work at least 25-30 mins of it into most of my solo workouts and a few months later i have gotten to be rather awesome at it

good defense + cardio = rape
you only need 1-2 guys on your team to be great dribblers and they create plays for the team

good job man, throw that soda can of w/e that is, energy drink or juice out next time someone hands you. Speed up the process a lot by cutting sugar/fake sugars

cardio + defense = rape is true

I don't really get tired in games and often times I see my opponent can't keep their breath. Win this happens, I sprint down the court, make him chase me. I run him through screens and stress him harder. When he gets the ball, thats when I press. Cardio owns out of shape fools.

I used to be a solid guard/point guard throughout highschool and even early uni, til i fucked up my knee.

To be a good dribber, you gotta have control with both hands. Im right handed, to improve your left, walk up a long road/hill and dribble with your left, increase the height of the dribble by will, up and down up and down. once you got that, move the ball along with your shoulders/body. I can't explain it too well, but try to shift with the ball to the direction you're going. Dribbling is about shielding the ball from defender, if you dribble with your left, go low and put the right side of your body in front of defender.

I think people stopped dribbling that way after Mark Jackson retired Your vision is too impaired when you have to shield the ball. Just have enough confidence in your handles to play your opponent face up.
