It's not that bad I think but it's borderline, now he has 13% 3b and it's 5 player. If it was FR it would be a losing play but 5way I think it's acceptable.

calling there is incredibly -EV in an 18 man because the payout jumps are flat.

oh, it's also pre-ante, so he's way tighter even though it's 5 handed.

I had opened 3 of the last three hands and It felt like he was waiting for any acceptable hand to re raise me. Aside from that you still say fold?

yes this is -ev

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

Open shoving and open folding are both terrible. Raise then fold to shove. Calling is very bad in this spot.

open folding is the best option, i played 10,000s of tournaments, you are sub 20 big blinds, raising to steal is bad from this position, there are no antes to steal, also when you raise u put 700 in pot and u have 3000 chips remaining which gives other stacks a great option to resteal. you shouldn't of called the reshove with 5s, they are too weak. since you aren't calling reshoves with 5s here and you arent going to be able to play postflop well because cbetting is a large % of your stack, its better to fold and look to reshove people who open light with hands that have good showdown value like T9s JTs, KJ doesnt raise call 17 big blinds unless its sb v bb or button v bb in hyper aggro tournament. U fold out alot with reshoving, you dont have a stack for stealing, raising seeing flops and continuation betting, since u cant really cbet seeing flops is bad, better to keep your stack together and reshove on loose opponents.

What is the crime for apostasy?!

raise fold > open fold > Raise Call
(unless if u opened the 2 previous pots simotaneiously, then u can fold but i still raise fold)

you're not playing against "most likely a flip" even if that is technically the case. You're playing against a hand range which comprises entirely of hands that have you dominated or that flip with you. I don't have stove or whatever is used nowadays but I'd imagine that this is about breakeven in terms of chips ev and then it being a SNG makes it crap.
