if you can beat 10/20(and not russian) your better than anyone that makes videos.

Well I do but it could well be because I've been running hot

'I'm so rusty, having not played at all for a few years, and I feel the games now have changed quite a bit and quite a few regs outplay me or put me at situations where I'm lost, hence I'm looking to watch videos from people who actually beat 10/20 25/50+ on a consistent basis. Saw some NL videos by Phil Galfond recently but he only made HU games, and he admitted himself that he is out of touch with NL.

Who do you think is the best player among all the guys making 6max NL videos? In the past it is easy to tell just from looking at PTR, but now PTR doesn't work on Stars anymore

from Leggo Poker we have aejones, luckychewy, zaza, nutsinho, mossberg, the_end

from Runitonce - Adrian Milroy

from DragTheBar - Turkey_Brain

from Cardrunners - iRock, Joao Barbosa,

zazano is pretty good. Not sure who some of those players are, runitonce sucks for holdem.

I've played with all of them and various stakes for a great ammount of hands and the ones making vids are definetly not crushing, some not even winning and some I consider among the weakest regs. Heard iRock is good I think i've never played him, I would try and watch his videos first. Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone for all the info. It seems to be the case that no training videos are good... I watched a free 2 min video of iRock and his nickname is ndscott on Stars apparently. Not a good sign when I tried to search for that nickname on HighstakesDB and nothing comes up so it means he is not playing 25/50+. One is not qualified to teach 10/20$ unless he is already a winning reg at 25/50 and 50/100 regularly..

Out of curiosity, in the last few days I ran QQ and KK into Aces like 4 times ( 6 handed, $25/50 for about 90 to 130bb, once I was UTG vs button, once sb vs bb, once cutoff vs button, once button vs small blind), each time I raise and get 3b, I 4b small and get either 5bet smallish back or get pushed all in, and it became all in preflop , Is it standard in 2013, or am I supposed to learn to fold now coz good regs are tighter with 5b or all-in? All of my opponents are good aggressive regs, only one of them is quite tight preflop.

its bulllshit that somebody needs to be beating 25/50 to be qualified to teach 10/20. all u need to do to be able to teach 10/20 is beat it. if u can beat 10/20 nowadays theres a decent chance that there are very few games at higher stakes you wouldn't be able to beat since it's mostly the same regs. now, if u r teaching ppl who play in the same games as u, that sounds like it might be a pretty bad idea.

there aren't too many guys making NL videos anymore, of the ones who are, i think lefort, irock, and aejones all make good videos.

Not quite, there's a sizeable difference between regs who play exclusively 25/50+ and those who play just up to 10/20 and lower right now. Couple years ago you could find some "bad" 25/50+ regs that were usually donkaments winners or guys that won couple million back in the day that kept thinking they could still beat the games, but those guys are all gone now as regs and all you got are crushers really, not so much for 10/20 regs theres still plenty of room there I think.

Leggo is probably the best value for NL. Although it's preferable you don't have to watch players who are better than you to learn, just watch and you can get different views of how people think about poker. Jungleman said he watched vids just for that reason.

Galfond makes good PLO vids.. and hes been getting better about rambling on about nonsense all the time.

only watched the first sauce vid but he basically played 1 hand in 50 minutes. his whole 50 minute video could have been said as 'there are more offsuit hands then suited hands' still will be looking forward to seeing some stuff from sauce, v smart dude and he has written some good stuff in the RIO forums. He def has potential to make high quality vids, i just tilt when these dudes start talking about basic shit for 40 mins of a 50 minute video. Really hope they put out some high stakes real time footage, so they can't pause on 1 hand and talk about nonsense for forever. TILT

Im still waiting for someone like the guys you mention to play a live session 0 pauses - even muted would be fine for me.

It just gets way too boring for me when 50 minute and just a few hands... even thou i probably have a lot to learn from them : (

One strength i had from brood war was to analyze replays from top players and figure out why they did it on my own.... i think i could do that with poker too if just any great players would record long live videos

Imagine if they play x2 speed, and they sound like chipmunks, and you can barely catch anything of what's being said, but then you get used to it, kinda like when you learn to speedread!! omg! This is the future xD

Mez, I think Sauce put out another one, where he talks about more hands and gets more into it, the first one seemed like an introduction thingy, bragging bout how sick he was xD

x100 this would be awesome, just record all your play and we can figure it out depending on stats, villain, board, etc
