Hi!
Short story, I live in Norway. I want to go somewhere in europe to play live poker.
So I wanted to know if anyone could recommend some places with good action?
Country is not important, as long as it is in europe.
Also, I know that it is WSOP in the summer, and a lot of action in Vegas.
And I also know about Maccau.
Any tips will be very helpfull and appreciated! |

what are you going to play? is it for living how many time do you inten to stay? how many hours a day will you play?
Forget portugal almost no action here, i hear madrid and london is the best for action but i can be wrong, london is problably better but it has a depressing weather and living expenses are bigger then madrid. |

A friend of mine went to London last year. He said he found tons of action at lower stakes, but as far as he could tell there's a lot of action at basically any stake you want. |

I would recommend Barcelona and Wien in general (from what I've heard at least, no personal experiences so far).
I'll actually be departing to Wien in a few hours, so I guess I can tell you more tomorrow after I come back |

For live games in Asia refer to this thread: http://www.liquidpoker.net/poker-forum/317630/Live_poker_in_Asia.html
:D
Austria has pretty good card casinos. Personally I have been to Poker World in Vienna (sort of shady people). When I was there, they offered tournies, 4/8 fixed holdem, and 1/2 NLH. Also there is a normal casino in Vienna, where the games are supposedly fishier. I think they play 5/5.
I can recommend all Concorde Card Casino. I know there is one in each Vienna (been there; they offer tournies and usually there are multtple tables of 1/2 NLH going and regular 2/5 and 5/10 games, very good service there), one is in Linz and one in Salzburg.
I have also been to Amsterdam Casino (which is in amsterdam :D) but that was some time ago. Back then they offered 10/20 fixed and 5/5 NLH up to 2k buy in if i remember correctly.
There is also a Casino in Prag, at the Hilton Hotel I think and various Casinos on the german-czech boarder.
Of course there are a lot of possibilites in Great Britain, mostly in London, but I guess other people can eloborate on that a bit more. I have only been to the Empire at Leicester Square in London. I think the Hippodrome (PokerStar Live Card room?) is also there. |

Austria, amsterdam, i can agree those are good places but the majority of people want a cheap living place i assume, and those are super expensive living places, when you say you want to go somewhere to play live you should say if you want to go on vacation/work or you really want to grind your ass off, your stakes help to since if you play 5/10 the fishiness is way more important then living expenses. |

When I was trying to read up on where there were good games, I found a bit of good stuff on Vienna, apparently 3 casinos, and a guy who lived there talked to me, sent me a pm on Reddit, said games ran most of the hours, and they had 1-1, 1-2 and 2-5. And it wasnt that expensive for hotells nearby. Sounds pretty cool. Since then u can grind from the evening till midnight, or a little over in the weekends, and have a pretty good rhtyhm. |

The best option is to aim for EPT tournaments in Europe, during that time the cash games running are juicy as hell - a lot of players just travel to play those, instead of tournaments.
Outside of that, probably most of the major EU cities with big casinos: London, Wien, Prague, Berlin. |

Okey, EPT season is over and not starting up before late august.
Anyone have a good site with schedule over tournaments running in europe this summer? |

Just check PokerStars - they run most of the series in Europe: European Poker Tour, Eureka Poker Tour, Italian one, Irish one, etc.
Besides that you also have WPT, ParadisePokerTour, Uinbet Open, HESOP/EMOP/GSOP, Betfair Live.
I think those are all main ones, but EPT is the biggest and juiciest obviously. |
