Hey guys,
in final 11/600 of foxwoods 300 dorra tourny
6 handed 20k 40k blinds with 5k ante
Folds to button, raises to 110k. Starting stack is 1 million
Im in sb with kq, 950k starting stack
bb has about 700k

Avg stack is about 800k. Villain is a tight passive older guy. I can see an argument here for folding/shoving/calling/3bet.
thoughts? Btw i think this is shove against any loose player, but this guy hasn't shown down with anything worse than AT, but I feel that he would definitely muck AQ and any pair lower than 99

3 bet to 280 and fold to shove. Shove is huge mistake with these stacks.

u really need to pay attention to his opening sizes in order to make an accurate assessment on what the correct play is here. if hes been varying his opening sizes and this is bigger than normal i just fold it pre. if this is his standard sizing i don't mind calling with these stacks as long as bb isnt a squeeze monkey. a lot of times vs these types of players you can take a flop and frontbet scary boards when u miss and rarely will you ever get floated, especially this deep in the tournament when you are so close to a big win.

fwiw i think folding>calling>3bet/fold>shove as a general rule of thumb and i really don't mind calling. I don't play tournaments tho

Fairly standard shove with 200k dead in there leaving a 5:1 spr

I usually shove in these spots if i think button's opening range is wide but im starting to think that it is wrong, because there are so many bad players left at these live tournaments and payouts are so top heavy.

the funny thing about tournaments is, no matter what you do all the plays are very close so it doesn't matter. Do whatever the fuck you wanna do
