Don't believe this man, Oblivion is a great science fiction movie. I saw it, it caught me surprise after surprise after surprise.
Why Spitfiree wants to hate on TC is beyond me. Tom Cruise gives oscar performance. See this movie, just to marvel at Tom Cruise, one of the greatest actors, every scene, its like watching elky play poker with the holecards. Like being an observer watching XDsGrrrr play starcraft back when there was no replays. That's how I feel about it. |

Yes, you "could" tell. I can tell you that I've seen tons of movies and it's generally very easy to predict where most of them are going. The key to enjoying movies is to shut that part of your brain off and try to relax. It's so bad with me that I avoid all trailers and don't read anything about any movies I want to see or else I can usually piece together parts/all of the movie. That said, some trailers today are so criminally revealing. Without seeing anything prior besides billboards, I still saw what was going to happen very early and feel the same in most movies but who gives a shit it was still an entertaining plot and fantastically well made. I think most reasonably aquainted sci-fi fans will get this movie pretty early whereas my less aquainted friend for e.g. was pretty lost but still enjoyed it as much as myself. |

Superman needs to take a note from X-men's camp. I remember reading about the 1st xmen being shot and thinking "omg they're going to ruin it. Nobody wears yellow spandex with big blue gloves and a pointy mask to fight crime". Then I saw that the movie basically scrapped the comic costumes and gave them all a more "street" look, basically just trying to make it somewhat believable. At that point I was like "oh sweet, they all look fucking normal and just have hidden super powers!". Thats how superman should have been. Fuck that retarded costume. You can tell they sorta stumbled upon the idea because it looks like the 1st half of the movie he's just playing the part of regular clark kent, and then later people ask him what the "S" means on his chest, to which he says "it's not an S". So they understand that the costume is retarded but they should have just completely abolished it. Let superman fly around in normal combat gear, or something like what the xmen wore.
Kick-ass does a good job demonstrating how stupid costumes are by dressing them up like real super heroes just to draw attention to it. |

i could not give a fuck about spoilers eh. It's just not the way i watch movies, i do not watch them to enjoy getting tricked by the story teller. I watch them to see a story well told. |

Yeah i evade trailers myself. I didnt know a thing about Oblivion before seeing it apart from having Tom Cruise in it. No idea what the movie was about at all and so on....I dont see a reason to switch that part of the brain cause it only makes me enjoy movies that challenge me mentally, cause then you find that very best cinema production - things like Mr.Nobody and Cloud Atlas, movies which people generally call dumb and boring .... Anyway I wasnt expecting the movie to challenge me however i expected it to have way more action. So thats what im mostly disappointed about, but if i had known what the movie was about then it wouldve made sense for it to not have many effects + fight scenes. A movie has to either have a sophisticated plot (at least on first sight & throughout the movie - Inception for example - as you see the movie your mind is blown, however when you think about it so many things make no sense but it doesnt matter anymore) or have nice effects, fight scenes, cars, etc. |

I thought oblivion was good until the action started, tbh. Not bad after that, just bland.
Moon is a better movie with similar theme. |

sorry but oblivion was shit. they overused plot twists, there are some big plot holes, and unnecessary scenes. I just hope that when Morgan Freeman does the movie of Rendezvous with Rama people don't start saying that is kinda a rip-off of oblivion. |

Superman will have "messianic" undertones without noah's ark and the bible to ruin it. Ha!
Oblivion was typical Tom cruise delivering the goods showing his Hollywood looks and heroic endings. That's been his main weapon all these years and I expect him to entertain me. His leading ladies are always less attractive than him - faggot knows his stuff to keep his stardom lol |

While Superman's outfit was cool in the last ice age, I think in these new movies they should just rework him to a better new-age-ish outfit :o. I guess that goes for the name as well but I guess they can't really change that
Looking forward to the movie though! |
i think supermans biggest issue was always the fact that he is too strong, every other hero is very flawed, this guy is basically god mode
|
And that he can't defeat villains easily because of his own retardness/pussiness rather than actual problems/villain powers |

Superman as some kind of alien god, not just some guy faster than a train lol. Even got rid of the superman name to recreate and detach anything that humans can relate with. Smarter audience adjustment is perfect |
