From the very limited amount that I know about omaha (and that being said... ultra-omaha), I think this is terribad. I could be way off, but I think I'm right.
From the people who post the most omaha hands - the blockers (nut flush card) doesn't really seem to ever get people off of lower flushes. And you're playing stakes that I'm assuming (perhaps wrongly) that people aren't nearly as solid as they would need to be playing for your play to be profitable. Despite holding the Ah and 3aces (blockers to nut straight), I think your hand looks pretty bad on that flop.
Again, I could be dead wrong, I'm interested to hear better players advice. |

Problem is that while you block some of the stuff that wants to go allin stuff like sets+fd and such will not fold, so you need decent equity to barrel this and you should probably never do it as a pure bluff. |

i'm surprised people are against this play. if you are ever going to bluff in a family pot this is like the nut hand to do it with. set+fd i would expect to raise the flop since it has monster equity vs the nut straight but once i get c/c'ed on the flop i'm pretty comfortable barreling off on blanks and hearts.
in 5-card people should realize that the nuts and nut draws are out there way more often so calling down with J9 and non-nut flush draws is a losing play. that said i've never played these stakes or 5-card for that matter so if you do see people doing this then just forget about blocker plays and nut peddle. |

The guy who c/r all in on the turn hasn't done that all session without the nuts. If there were players putting stacks in with sets+fd's or 2nd nuts i wouldn;'t have done it. I think it works enough + gets me action enough to make it +EV.

It does feel unnecessary. And it could cost me money. I'm going to give up in multi way pots at least. |

This play depends on your opponent and his stack size of course..
A guy this short is going with J9, sets, top2, and some combo draws.
Bluffing with blockers is fine to do, but usually you want fold equity.
Also, when repping the nuts on drawy multi-way PLO boards you want to bet bigger in general. |

if we deeper i do like a bet/bet/bet. and would like it even more if a heart peels off too.
with these stacks i prob just bet/fold flop and check/fold turn if called tbh |
