5$ deepstack/slow, 7 players left, can you find a fold here? given the fact that it might prevent you from entering the final table even if you're way ahead... well idk, I think I saw a video long long time ago where someone stated that you can find a fold in this kind of spot.

Not folding unless it's a satellite obviously. We're there to win it all.

My favourite line is Bet/Fold. I bet, you fold.

sorry, this is just this specific hand in this very specific situation after 7 hours of play. I know it seems stupid at the first glance and while calling cant be a mistake here it is surely not THAT obvious.

if its a satellite where its an all or nothing type of payout, it could maybe be a fold. in a tourney like this, you are playing for first place, and the best way to get there is to fist pump snap with AA

haven't checked the hand, but if this guy is talking about you, those are not kind words

edit: just checked the hand. wtf? you're asking if AA is ever a fold because you're looking at the FT? I'm not nearly as good as the average player on here, but this is the easiest snap.

I think that the only time you can fold AA would be when the prize structure is divided evenly and you're on the bubble. The reason is because what you risk is more than what you can be rewarded from the chips you could win in the pot.

there's no point in calling when folding = winning.

in this case though, folding = losing.

You likely shouldn't be playing poker if you're so risk adverse that you would want to fold here.

FYI Full ring cash games are have much less variance.

I suggest you play fixed limit.

satellite on bubble I'd guess this is a fold. but the MTT scenario where you should fold AA preflop doesn't exist.

MAYBE something like final table you have 10000000 chips other guy has 10005000 chips everyone else on table have 10k each and everyone else goes allin before it's your turn to act. even then it'd depend on the payout structure.

Why would you fold there? You just have to beat the other big stack as an 80% favorite and you win the tournament.

It is a way better example if everyone with 10k stacks is not all-in mate.
Because then we're risking being 9th/10th instead of beind basically guaranteed 2nd.

At that point it's an easy mathematical question.

yea my bad. that said though, everyone going allin basically ensures #3 for you by folding, but it also ensures #3 for calling. ;p obviously the big guy being the only one to go allin is the actual scenario where folding aa is good tho
