Whats the difference between "Aggression%" and "Aggression Factor" in HEM.
For guys that dont know its a stat in HEM/HEM2 not sure if its called the same in Pokertracker.
What is preferred and why? |

Should be the same as PT
Aggression factor was simply your BETS+RAISES divided by your CALLS (did not care about folds and checks)
Aggressoin frequency is basically how many % of your actions is bets and raises (aggressive)
You can probably figure out yourself the problem w/ each of them.
AF can be pretty scewed, a guy with huge AF can be pretty nitty (like check folding a ton, but not calling that much) |

Take Guy A for example. In 100 actions, he folds 90 times, calls 1 time and raise/bet 9 times. His AF= 9 which is HUGE
Take Guy B instead. In 100 actions he folds 50 times, calls 25 and raise/bet 25. His AF = 1 which is really low
But it's pretty apparant that Guy B is more aggressive than Guy A
If you check AFq instead, Guy A has 9 % and Guy B has 25%. |

i like it only to determine if the fish is loose passive or a maniac postflop if i 15-18 table (and thus cant pay much attention to him). I find this stats will make it obvious.
^^
Otherwise completly agree ! |

think this confuses loose with being aggressive.
either way waht you say is true. but i'd rather read into my palm than these particular statistics. |

Only thing I think AF is useful for is deciding whether to lead the turn or go for a checkraise. |
