Is it often that fighters are "greasy"?

Joe Rogan’s reaction to Dana White's announcement of Ronda Rousey as one of the two female coaches on the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter.

he's baalim to keep his endorsement recognition relevant.

as Baal, he is remembered as the monster flamewar, ban-mongerer

as Baalim, he is our PS ambassador that brings us to enlightenment

Either way, all that matters is his icon thing rocks

This was very weird to watch. GSP first looks like he wants to say that Diaz did something and holds back, saying "there are things that I can't say, the fight is over... but... yeah... [interviewer speaks and GSP completely ignores it because he's thinking of how to finish that sentence] ... it was very slippery, that's all I gotta say..."

At the end the interview was over and, awkwardly he says "I'm sorry guys, woke up with a headache this morning, I'm feeling weak, I don't know if I have a fever I'll have to go get examined... that's why I'm a bit stunned... so sorry this is why I'm behaving coldly like this right now..."

I don't see any reason to say this stuff after a fight, even if it's all true which I'm sure it is. He wasn't asked about it and they weren't acting like something was off about him. Maybe he felt that his performance wasn't good enough and he felt like he had to justify it but it reflects poorly on him there. One of the guys simply said "maybe its because you just did 5 rounds!"

It doesn't even make sense for Diaz to want to be slippery, that's mostly good for the top control guy.

Its harder for him to knock him down and take the top control plus I disagree. It was 100% worse for GSP's style of fight for sure

But I dont understand how can he be greasy when they check his body right before he enters the octagon. I thought its exactly so that they see if he is not covered in some kind of gel or smtng

Can someone give me a good sports betting site that has TUF bets, winner of this season is easy money ( obv matches pre final shouldnt have betting on them)

Rogan says the more slippery a guy is, the easier it is to sink your arms in to get the RnC. I think it's bad for every other BJJ position, but I don't train BJJ, so what the fuck do I know.

Meh it would help Diaz with takedown defense and scrambling I guess. But yea it would also make guard harder for him.

As for checking them before hand, many people have reported that there is stuff you can take a bath in the day before the fight and it only starts coming out once you begin to really sweat. So you could pass the pre fight inspection, but once the fight goes on a bit you become very slippery.

I have a hard time seeing Nick grease though.

It's mostly just physics, RNC your arm needs to slip in and the way to get out has got nothing to do with being slippery.

If you have one guy who likes top control and another who is good at submissions greasing up is definitely helping the guy on top. It isn't negated by a tiny improve in takedown defense. It is not for no reason that GSP's trainers put that shit on him when he fought Penn.

i mean... Diaz was greasy because he got cut in the 1st round. They applied shit tons of Vaseline on his face, GSP punched his face... then proceeded to grapple fuck him with the same gloves. O_O

Physics tbh
