Oh boy, slightly embarrassing first hand to post

Seat 1: normannolly (4670 in chips)
Seat 2: latency55 (5602 in chips)
Seat 7: GiantCranes (682 in chips)
Seat 9: ThereBePoker (2546 in chips)
normannolly: posts the ante 50
latency55: posts the ante 50
GiantCranes: posts the ante 50
ThereBePoker: posts the ante 50
normannolly: posts small blind 300
latency55: posts big blind 600
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to ThereBePoker [As 8s]
GiantCranes: folds
ThereBePoker: calls 600
normannolly: raises 4020 to 4620 and is all-in
latency55: folds
ThereBePoker: calls 1896 and is all-in
Uncalled bet (2124) returned to normannolly
*** FLOP *** [5h 6d 6c]
*** TURN *** [5h 6d 6c] 2c
*** RIVER *** [5h 6d 6c 2c] Qd
*** SHOW DOWN ***
normannolly: shows [Qh Kd] (two pair, Queens and Sixes)
ThereBePoker: shows [As 8s] (a pair of Sixes)
normannolly collected 5792 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 5792 | Rake 0
Board [5h 6d 6c 2c Qd]
Seat 1: normannolly (small blind) showed [Qh Kd] and won (5792) with two pair, Queens and Sixes
Seat 2: latency55 (big blind) folded before Flop
Seat 7: GiantCranes folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 9: ThereBePoker (button) showed [As 8s] and lost with a pair of Sixes

I meant to shove here but misclicked limp instead >_<
What I'm wondering is should I have folded and waited to see if GiantCranes busted in the next hand or was I right to go with this?

If it's a fold, after the misclick can it still be a fold?

Both make sense

I shove pre, depends PURELY on opponents' calling ranges and payout structure... As played, if villain is a thinking player, you just induced him to shove obv... So if the structure is top heavy, I call off. If it's a flat payout structure, fold and let him bust. I'm guessing it's a 9 man??? if it's a 9 man, fold.

If you send me the raw hh in PM, and tell me the payout structure, I can put it in ICMIZER and give you ranges

I would fold here

Yea, I think the right play is fold even if villain is ATC, But I think it is decently +EV to shove pre as long as other villains aren't going to snap more than 20% of hands. Just eyeballing it, never actually played this format before lol. As played, def fold cuz the payjump from 4th to 3rd is bigger than 3rd to 2nd.

I shove pre, since the short stack would encourage tighter folds and we got blockers to nutted hands. If they guy calls KQ in the big blind, his call is atrocious, take a note.

Is that because I obviously have a big hand if I'm willing to risk it all when the other player is in serious danger of busting out?

I thought KQo would be reasonable call in the BB at these blinds/stacks???, also I'd like to point out it was the SB who played back at me.

Ppl aren't going to fold A2o, they have pot odds to call even if they know we're on a strong range, so your read makes little sense unless we have played 10,000 games with them. Folding A2 in their spot would a spot where it's a "slightly bad call" or possibly (and more likely) "a really bad fold"... anyway, A8s prob bot of ur range since you have > 60% to freeroll a payjump in the next hand.

Fwiw, they are calling like ... K8 or K9+, A2o, any pp, easily 25% range, maybe even up to 40% cuz of the pot odds they're getting.................. even if they're skeptical we'res hoving tight cuz of the shorty.

... How are they calling K8/K9; A2o with the short stack there and on the bubble? Like we still have enough chips for them to be concerned. Folding A2o there is not a really bad fold... If we have 4600 with A2o in the big blind and guy shoves the button, we are folding imo. Call A9+ or something unless the guy was shoving every hand.

We shove semi-light because of a mix of hand equity and fold equity (This part being more important as people will fold more often on the bubble).

Ummmmm.... I said what their calling ranges would be, not yours. But ok, if you shove A8s in this spot, you're going to get burned a ton.
