Andy Whitfield at the end was fantastic. I'd love to see that closing sequence without the credits. I need to watch the pilot again to remember what his wife said about the red snake. The rain when Spartacus died was great. So good. So many great characters in this show.

Spartacus should of been rewarded by the gods/nature and tripped massive balls as he died (being greeted by all those who fought for freedom including Crixus in the afterlife)
Like Gatakiss on the cross hallucinated Doctora and the gladiatorial arena with massive applause.
Dmt is released in near death experiences.
I would of loved to see Spartacus trip balls.
Tbh Crixus's speech and death were far more epic then Spartacus. I liked the ending anyway, very decent and I'm happy they didn't butcher the series by poor ending The only thing I didn't like was the flashbacks of his wife when he got speared.

Only on episode 4 at the moment but this season is my favorite so far. The story is SO much better. Possible loop holes are dealt with before forming. Lots of foreshadowing. The cunning of the main protagonist, Marcus Crassius, is just a huge refreshment from seeing other predictable, dumb villains. He's a badass actor, too.

I feel almost the exact opposite.
Storylines in the first 2 seasons were really nice
Lots of interesting caracters with their own in depth plots.
Batiatus , Spartacus , Ashur , Crixus all had very different and intersting stories that somehow connected at one point
Also Lucretia and Ilithyia the two grils who always made their poisend conspiracies in the back.
I really loved Blood and Sand + Gods of the Arena
Those 2 were great in so many ways
New season is mainly about people shouting : roooooooooarrrrrrrrrrr arggggggggggh and then jumping 3 meters up in to the sky while slicing through heads...

I don't remember much about the first two seasons except that Batiatus wanted a title from his wife's father or some shit through his wins in the arena.
This season, I appreciated the small logistical shit like how Spartacus needed to feed and shelter his army. Crassus was amazing as a cunning and deceitful leader, and a very good actor, IMO. Spartacus' final rampage was sick as fuuuuuuuuuuuckkkk. He looked like a possessed man going through Crassus' men. Really liked the ending and music but like Daut said, Crixus' death was a lot more hard-hitting and emotional.
