Have we sunk so low not to rail the ME FT??
Some pretty solid poker being played for the most part. Couple of bad hands that i saw by the brown dude and harry potter/justin bieber's lovechild. not a lot of premium holecards, and some bad beats sum up what i saw before going to bed!
lots of use of donk leading, checking behind, and even limping the sb - people are mixing it up pretty well. Sick fucking bluff by greggy on the river. Just remember greggy, when you're sitting on your giant pile of money, that Fraser used to beat u at 2/4. I hope it eats at you! |

I checked my HEM to see my results vs gregy, I'm up 1.8k AW YEA
For real though this is a pretty skilled/stacked WSOP ME FT |

Jake Balsiger Eliminated in 3rd Place ($3,799,073)
Hand #382:
Jesse Sylvia had the button. He raised to to four million, and Jake Balsiger reraised all in from the small blind for 20.3 million. Greg Merson requested a count on Balsiger's stack from the big blind, and the dealer and World Series of Poker Tournament Director Jack Effel counted it down. Then, Merson called. Sylvia folded.
Merson showed the to dominate the for Balsiger. Balsiger was behind, but still had a flop, turn and river to win the pot.
The flop came down , and Merson's hand held up so far. After the landed on the turn, Balsiger was down to just one more card.
The river card was the , and that officially ended Balsiger's tournament in third place. He left with a shake of his opponents' hands and a standing ovation from everyone in the Penn & teller Theatre. With his elimination, Joe Cada's record as the youngest Main Event winner has held strong, and Merson is now heads up with Sylvia for the title. |

Sick? I thought it was pretty bad (it appears Vanessa Selbst thought that too I think). |

yea, her face was kinda funny when he showed the cards. I know nothing about tourpoker though so can't really question their play, especially since the call was +ev there. |

I mean even if the equity is there, you would think you'd want to get it in better than an underdog. I don't know how you can call that unless you think he's shoving every PP but even then you know he might shove any broadway over you anyway and got really lucky he wasn't domianted.
I guess Selbst thinks so too.
Not sure I like Ballsingers shove either, but at least he was the aggressor and not the caller. Probably right ICM wise? |

I think the logic was kinda like this:
"Fucking 12 hours 3 handed, now HU is too shallow to play pokerz. What do...? AH FUCK IT LET'S FLIP IT ONE TIME!" |

I will be pumped and excited for WSOP coverage when I can play online poker again =.
I don't know about non-US players, but as a US player myself, I lost interest in almost everything poker-related because I had no access to it (except live games, which I hate). |

vanessa was actually reacting b/c she thought he called with K5s. She said QJs is a good call, and it is. If you take out the top part of his range his has the correct amount of equity to call. That's end of story. Fine call imo. |
