Iwill apreciate any articles, books, videos or just simple advice thats gonna be usefull for online player like "watchout for limp/raise its AA 80% time","wear like an idiot ull get more action" etc
i searched 2+2 for a while but didnt find too much
My biggest problem is playing multiway pots and maybe deep games + that im bored as fuck so i spew from time to time

Biggest thing for me is getting bored and spewing, been playing about 50 hrs a week live and still haven't figured a way to get it under control. I'll start limping anything suited and semi connected then calling a raise just cause a couple people limped in front of me then getting in dumb situations that I would never get in if I was playing well, probably by far my biggest live leak. Downloading vids from training sites and just passively listening has helped some. Also trying not to give off the persona of an "online player" or someone who plays for a living helps with getting action in general.

just play as exploitive as possible and if ppl adjust/start exploiting our style then we can simply readjust.

I feel there is such huge differences in ways i'll play depending on game conditions. the variation is much more severe than in online poker imo. for example in one live full ring game i'll be playing a very tight 15/10 4% 3bet game. and in another full ring game i'll be playing a 35/15/5 game w a 75% steal or something. and everything in between or higher.. it just really depends on your table. If you're crushing 2/4+ online you'll easily be able to make the necessary adjustments to crush the faces of the live noobs and you'll eventually run in circles around them.

Just remember not to overthink spots too much as everyone at your table likely sucks and as someone said before spewing too much is really a huge issue for many live players.

I wouldn't worry too much about live tells when you first start but close observation will go a long way . and it really does take some practice/experience to pick up on accurate and reliable live reads etc etc.

I think Yomer's posts are super spot on. I would also like to add that you shouldn't buy in super deep until you have a reason to. Sometimes a 100bb stack is by far the most +EV amount to buyin.

I've logged close to 500 hours of live (not that much by any means, just offering my sample). I blogged a few months ago about my live transition as well:

  1. Dealing with Full Ring itself, coming from a largely 6max and HU background.

2. Dealing with people limping strong broadways, PPs up to TT, and occasionally the AA/KK l/rr from EP.

3. Dealing with people flatting big PPs pre, which makes their value range a lot wider than I give them credit for

4. Bluff frequencies and how they view which spots are good to bluff. This is obviously very player-dependent too but the size of the player pool at my casino makes it such that I don't develop deep history or understanding of any specific player. So occasionally some live reg will pull a bluff that I give too much credit for just because its, in my online-player mind, a suicidal bluff and thus he's probably nutted. It's a hard habit to shake.

5. I started buying in for the max at my stakes (150bbs), didn't like it because there aren't as many clueless, gambly fish as I expected. The majority of the player pool are loose passives and if deep stacks are ever getting in, its usually a cooler situation that I can be on the wrong side of. To reduce my risk of ruin I'm starting to play 100bbs, and 100bbs is obviously a stack size I'm very very comfortable with as an online player anyway. Good results so far from that switch.

I'd like to think I'm one of the best regulars at 5/10 based on online experience (there seem to be very few good online players playing this game regularly, though a few of them might be at higher stakes), but I feel like there are still some live intangibles that the live regs have over me, or it's just taking me too slow to adapt. Likely the biggest lesson I've learned (though I learned this some years ago when I was playing big live tourneys) is to not underestimate the live atmosphere. I don't think it's as easy as just being an online pro and coming in and schooling everyone, especially in a full ring setting, and there's definitely a learning curve involved.

Other random tidbits I'd offer are:
- Be as friendly/jovial as you can, for the sake of the game and for the sake of not losing your sanity when grinding live and having to be the boring, silent online pro all the time.

- If you can beat 2/4 online you will be within the top 1% of players at the casino, but it doesn't mean you're entitled to riches. As mentioned previously there's a bit of a learning curve in adjusting well to how the games play especially if you're not a nit online.

- I severely underestimated BRM for live. Variance is lower live but there's still a lot to be said about the psychological effects of being properly rolled. I'd say 40k+ min is good for 5/10 if you truly want to play your A game.

- There are times when I've felt, due to the slow, 9 handed nature of the game, that it was hard to find edges that I could exploit over and over. Even if that's the case (e.g. table is full of nits), just be patient and your edge will be realized, but not only that but there's a lot of edge to be gained in terms of tilt control, table/seat selection, and maintaining your own discipline as a player/human (e.g. don't show up to the casino tired, drunk, etc. always be fresh and ready to play your A game).
