Viktor "Isildur1" Blom is no longer a member of Team PokerStars Pro.
PokerNews discovered Tuesday that Blom was no longer listed as a member of the Pro team in the PokerStars client. Eric Hollreiser, PokerStars' head of corporate communications, told PokerNews that Blom and the company mutually agreed not to renew the Swede's expired sponsorship agreement.
Blom was introduced as a member of Team PokerStars during the 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and has been one of the most talked-about figures in poker over the past few years.
"In his short time as a poker player, Viktor has played against the biggest names in poker at the highest stakes in the toughest games," said Hollreiser. "It’s hard to recall a player who has kept the poker world so riveted at such an early stage of his career. We’ll be watching with great interest and we wish him nothing but success."
Commenting on his departure, Blom said: "I’ve enjoyed my time as a Team Pro and I wish everyone at PokerStars the best. Now I just want to concentrate on playing poker."
Thoughts? Kinda strange imo, he always gave great spectacle and action and was very well known

he says he just wants to concentrate on poker, so it sounds like we may actually see more of this than we have been. Otherwise his time was occupied with a bunch of travelling to EPTs and media obligations which I guess might be something he's now tired of doing

I think he attracts internet railbirds, but is unknown to the recreational player which is all stars cares about
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
