Guillard only giving up 10% of his purse to Cerrone, instead of the usual 20%. I wonder how the missed weight deductions work out.

No rematches after UFC 150.
That's the word from UFC president Dana White, who says that no matter how close the fight between Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar ends up, the winner will face the next top contender in the lightweight division.

Having a hard time caring about this card. Pretty weak overall especially for a landmark number as mentioned. And Frankie does not deserve an immediate rematch. Even though he was not finished, he was convincingly beaten the first time. Deepest division in the sport, give somebody else a chance.
Shields very easy win over Herman (sub or dominant decision)
Cerrone over Guillard (sub obv)
Henderson over Frankie (probably decision again)

Regarding Guillards missed weight:
Ariel Helwani: "I just spoke to Melvin Guillard. He said that at around noon his body stopped sweating once he reached 159 pounds. He immediately called Cerrone to tell him he would not be making weight, and he said Cerrone was cool with it. (In our interview for FUEL, Cerrone did seem cool with it.) He then called the UFC. He was told that since he took this fight on short notice he will still be eligible to win a bonus tomorrow night. Typically if you miss weight the UFC won't give you a Fight, Sub or KO of the Night bonus. Finally, he had to give the commission 10% of his purse and Cerrone another 10%. So 20% in total. Final weight: 157.5. Lightweight limit: 156."

hrm if u were to bet on frankie on this upcoming fight what kinda odds would u guys be looking for? the line for edgar is slowly improving (saw +150 on edgar last night and it's up to 160-170 now..) at some point there's gotta be a tipping point and i'm not educated in MMA to know the exact but if it reaches +200 it's gotta be +ev to bet on frankie...right? i'd even consider putting down some cash on +180-190 as well i dunno tho i might be fishing.
i think the line could be anywhere from even money to bendo -180. i think its likely frankie +175 has value but i would bet him for sure at +185
its up to +191
feel as if the odds are too good to pass up
1st fight i really thought hendo was gonna tear it up but edgar impressed me so so much and if it wasn't for that sick up kick he took i think he would have won that fight straight up

That's what a lot of people said right after the fight, but once they re-watched the fight after awhile, they saw it wasn't as close as they originally thought it was. I thought the same thing as well, but that up-kick wasn't the defining moment.

Herman was at +170 last night, now down to +145... People must have got the inside scoop of how bad Shields will perform.

Hmmm, id say Bendo vs Nate, Frankie vs Aldo
ya those 2 fights combined are insane. but just in terms of who is a more compelling opponent for nate you still have same answer? i dont really have a preference, see pros for each fight

Edgar vs Nate.
I think Bendo ends up throwing a bunch of leg kicks vs Nate and taking him down a lot. It'd still be a great fight, and the grappling would be fun to watch, but I see it often being a methodical one sided type fight for Bendo. I think Nate could catch him on the feet or on the ground and win, but I don't see it being a very back and forth type of fight.
In Nate vs Edgar, I don't think Edgar stays on top too much. I think it's a crazy high pace boxing match with both getting dropped and lots of crazy scrambles.

Well as Stim said Edgar vs Diaz might be the more exciting option, but id just like to see Frankie drop to 145 and fight Aldo a little bit more than i want to see Frankie vs Nate , either way all of the options after tonights fight seem very exciting. If Frankie wins we get him vs Nate and Bendo vs a top 10 lw, if Bendo wins we possibly get two very exciting title fights at fw and lw.
Poker chobo.

Nate vs. Edgar would suck cuz the fight would probably get stopped in a 5 round fight due to Edgar's face being too cut up.
Nate vs. Bendo would be better and more skilled of a fight, since Bendo uses his hands/kicks/knees/wrestling/BJJ, and can take a lot of punishment + doesn't show damage + best cardio at 155.
