i would add the caveat that everyone is different and learns differently but it's certainly a fantastic starting point.
Most of the "non-math," "non-book" people are probably too busy doing, trialing, experiencing, hustling, gambling to ever find his post so further caveats about Mathematics of Poker or Elements of Poker are probably not needed but maybe are. (Don't read Mathematics of Poker unless you have taken let's say Calculus and in some ways enjoyed it. Elements of Poker is a wildcard and there are wildly successful players that love Angelo's stuff and there are wildly successful players that that book is a running punch line). |
