The basketball is always awesome, I am looking forward to all the track events. The mens 100 is always good. Would be nice though if Canada had a "Donovan Bailey" this year. |

on a more serious note...
eh whatever, i find almost everything dull in the olympics, some team sports can be good to watch. Other than that just drugged athletes sacrificing their youth and health for a meaningless title to which noone will remember in a month |

This is LOL if your country sucks at the Olympics then of course they won't remember who won in a month. But when you have someone like Michael Phelps that has won 16 gold medals and holds a ton of record, or like Donovan Bailey, Michael Johnson, Usain Bolt people in the country they are from remember them. Sidney Crosby will probably go down as one of Canada's greatest hockey players of all time for the simple fact that he scored the game winning goal in Olympic Gold Medal in Canada. Ask any Canadian and 100% they will be able to tell you what they were doing when that happened. |

I don't know even competing in an Olympic games is pretty impressive, getting a medal is just that much more. These athletes are the best that the world has to offer, so even the guy that comes in like 8th in a race is so much better then the vast majority of other athletes out there. |

Competing in the Olympics is an immensely impressive accomplishment and is an experience that these people will remember and take pride in for the rest of their lives. |

Very much looking forward to it, watching a table .tennis and a footy game live.
Not interested in a lot of the sports but there are so many and it is cool to watch stuff youd never normally watch. I find it hard to see how anyone could not really enjoy the Olympics, unless you fucking HATE sports/humans. |

I'll be watching like I do every 4 years, no doubt ending up watching some sport I've never followed before.
Meanwhile the Australian team has been an embarrassing bunch of crying retards leading up to the games. |
