I got it, installed it.
*When I get spawned I'm at this beach with no items and no idea where to go and what to do?

*Also, there's like a "six updater" and "six launcher" icon on my desktop, plus tons of servers. I thought this game was an MMO?

*How come people are playing on a zillion servers? Some servers have 40 people with 30 ppl playing, does this mean only 40 people are in that particular game or does it mean there are 40 ppl in your team? Im really confused.

People are playing on a zillion servers for the same reason they do on games like Counter-Strike:Source and Call of Duty.
This is just a mod for a first person shooter that is then required to abide by the restrictions set by the original game, ARMA 2.

My roommate plays this 24/7 and rages so hard every few hours because her party gets killed by people using hacks to be invisible.

Servers are capped as 50players, afaik there is no "teams" just an FFA where some people band together over skype to back stab each other later.
