I'll call it. This thing ends this season if the producers care about the quality of the series. I can't imagine how they can stretch this further after this episode.

It''s so impressive when people call things that are already way more than completely confirmed.

I'm just trying to look smart, can't let it slide eh? lol
You silly gooses... if Skyler dies there is no legitimate source of "real" money for Walt and he'll have an overly sympathetic
head of an DEA office on his case constantly, who I might add will probably follow Walt around to make sure he isn't drinking his face off and what will he find?

He could just hire another person to run the carwash

Judging by the previous owner's lifestyle - that carwash does not turn over much profit without a skilled accountant money laundering drug money with it.
It might not even turn a profit if you need to pay the actual manager of it.
Now Walt might not even be able to pay for his and the children's basic necessities without living a shitty life.
Plus he'll have Hank on his case... I just fail to see the benefit for Walt.

Skyler is not the only person that knows accounting... plus Walt could just sell the carwash and open something else that could give him more profit, plus they already know that he is a gambler
Yes Hank would be on the case, but that it could be just for some time, is not like hank would be 24/7 the rest of his life on that.
And he just killed Mike, what would he do now when he comes back to jesse and saul? "whats up, i just killed mike, after i told you jesse that no one else would die because of this" thats no benefit for him, so he could make the mistake of killing skyler.
on other thing... remember at the start of the season that he bought a nice riffle? there are 9 episodes left (1 this week, 8 when the season returns) and there are 9 names on the list that he was asking mike...im thinking the next half would be about killing those names to be safe and clear to build his empire.

But she is the only one that will do it for free without being a risk to Walt's operation.

Have you forgotten how hard it was to even find a business that was for sale earlier in the show?

No but it would be an extremely effective investigator possibly on his tail at any time and right now he has a period
ahead of him where it is extremely important that he keeps the meth flowing (lest he piss off his new partners/distributors)

How is this (Mike's death) related to our specific discussion (Killing Skyler)?

I will be surprised if Walt doesn't kill skyler. I feel like this entire season is foreshadowing Walt will kill anyone whom steps in his way.
