big sales going on, basically packs of a couple big games + 20 games you'll never play for like 20-30, or stuff like COD:MW1-3 for 50. what are you nerds getting?
i just picked up ys: oath, that's about it for now since i'm waiting for other packs or something else to catch my eye.

Recently watched a documentary on indie games like this. It's called Indie Game.
Those guys make shitloads of money for really simply games like these. Though apparently for 1-2 people even these games take a lot of time to make.

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

Limbo is fun, bought it last steam sale, has cool visuals and atmosphere for a 2d game, but its pretty short and you will only play through once.
as always i will recommend Super Meat Boy for anyone who hasnt got it.
I wanted to get Arma 2 but the discount was shit, so nvm. poorpuma.jpeg

because it was one of the few really innovative and well mades games that has come out in recent years, among a sea of shitty babbys-first FPS 'war simulators'

also the "gameflow" is too good, the game is dynamic and challenging at all times

Picked up Trine. So good. Can't believe I've never heard of it before.
portal is a funny puzzle game that prob had never been done, definately must play this. I've also had a lot of fun playing the coop campaign with my irl friend, really awesome concept.

It's also very short (6h tops) and the puzzles are not very hard. But gameplay is very satisfying, atmosphere is great, GLaDOS is hilarious and disturbing at the same time, whole game is a unique experience as far as video games go. It's a piece of art imo. 2nd game is much more polished engine and puzzle wise, but (at least for me) the magic is somewhat gone. Still a funny game worth every penny.

It took me 2-3 days to beat it iirc, plus going back and finding the radios was fun.

ive played portal 1 for 54 hours in total.
The challenges are fun and very satisfying to solve and heightened the difficulty level of the game

Yeah, but then again ive only played 90 minutes of it so far, I found it scary from the start. Make sure you play it with the lights off and headphones on to immerse yourself.

I'd recomend trying it first, and playing with some friends, cause most people will find the first area and couple of quests rather good and you might get hooked on bashing stuff with progressively better gear. That was the case for the first 2h for me. Then you will probably find that the game is very repetitive, to the point where you can remember zombie respawn points, there's absolutely no suspense and you might find yourself running away from zombies just to speed things up, not because it's required for survival. Story might as well not be there (removing all "acting" would improve the game imo), quests are never more complicated than fetch-and-kill-baddies, and then inventory will make you cry and drop best weapons by mistake.
So, I'd get it if you want some coop game to click away without thinking, with monsters suddenly jumping out on you instead of scary parts. If you love the beginning you probably won't hate the game, but it only gets worse imo.

Yes it gets a lot scarier. The prison is where I started to lose my shit lol.
I think the original tribes might have been the first online game I ever played. Ive put a few hours into Ascend, and maaaan do I feel noob. Seems pretty complicated but it definitely is pretty fun so far. I like the idea of having a class system in an FPS where people have different rolls.
I keep going heavy armor with massive guns cause I'm too noob.

Yes the game gets progressively scarier, the game tries to build up tension slowly, the prison level is when it starts to get scary because you will get lost for sure in the dark with monsters stalking, also remember this is very important and its said on the beggining on the game, Amnesia is not a game to be played to beat it or finish it, to play it right you are supposed to immerse in it, so get on headphones play in the dark, dont get distractions and enjoy and read the story (dont skip papers, dont rush the game), and you will be scared shitless, guaranteed.

Just bought Arma 2 and that operation arrowhead expansion, installing DayZ now...yay
was thinking on doing the same thing but its only like 25% off, or did i miss the Arma 2 sale?
no
they fuckin know everyone wants to buy it just so they can play DayZ and that everyone was hanging on for the summer sale waiting for like 50-75% off and they trolled the shit out of everyone by doing 20% off.
got Theif: Deadly Shadows for $2.50. I basically just want to try that Cradle level, virtually guaranteed i will never finish it.
also got "Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale" - to get my weeaboo on.
friendly reminder: Super Meat Boy is on right now for $3.75, get it if you dont already own it.
@baal: man its 30 bucks for both for a game that might give me at least a years worth of on and off again replay time. d3 games is just going to suck years of value out of ones life so id rather just dick around with DayZ when I feel like it. it also looks hella fun just by watching youtube vids out there
