Playing those 180man turbo SnG's. When I'm open shove'ing with AK, AQs, JJ, TT or 99 with 10BB or less, is there anything I'm doing wrong?

Tx!

The question is highly inaccurate. You can profitably shove hands of lesser strenght in late positions. The range you have mentioned is ok to shove from any position.

My advice is to stop playing them and study first for a while until you get a better understanding of NLHE with tiny stacks... you are almost guaranteed to be a losing player in even the lowest buy-ins 180man turbos if you're asking this question, where playing with tiny stacks is a vital (the most vital?) skill. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I'm trying to do you a favor. You could disintegrate a bunch of money fast especially if you are playing many tables.

I recommend this book for you because it contains very good advice on open shoving in tournaments with very small stacks, exactly what you need

+1 on book recommendation, its a good one.
However I think that book is not exactly a beginner book.

It's not that bad for a beginner imo. It doesn't coddle you like a child but there is time taken to explain a lot of concepts. You'll probably need to reread sections and consciously think while you read but as a beginner you can get a lot from it.

FvL if you want I can send you a copy and I also wouldn't mind talking to someone about that book as they read it. PM me if you're interested

-e- to illustrate my point I have some friends in maths and physics who I don't doubt could pick up that book and jump into the micro mtts despite never having played poker before.

-e- also in your OP you have a static range, that's not what you want. You want to change your open shove range based on position and the people after you. Your button and sb open shove range should be way wider than your utg range for example. You'll find all this in the book tho

I doubt theres any book completely relevant to 180's. You should be doing -ev shoves all the time if its the best spot and your not adjusting to antes. The hands you listed are the hands your shoving when your above 10bb if you get them below 10bb your lovin life

If your this tight a villian shoving any 2 after antes is going to do better then you and i aint jokin
