I perceive villain to be a weak player. He is playing 37/16 over 324 hands and opening 39% of buttons. His AFQ is 48%, his flop CB in single raised pots is 60%. I have a note on him that he will try to get to showdown in limped pots with medium strength hands instead of betting for protection and that he will keep firing with sets once he has put in a raise, even if the board turns ugly.
I think jamming is viable as we have very good equity against ranges that villain can be getting it in with. My only concern is that if we pot and villain calls, we will be left on the turn with 1.5 times the pot on a turn that is either straightening or flushing roughly 50% of the time. Thus I wonder if anybody prefers delaying a raise till a safe turn card where we can get in the majority of our stack with one raise, should villain barrel.
