Further proof that he's one of the all-time greats.
On a side note, I wonder if he's the #1 person to have played the most WSOP events in history. He's been competing every year since the 1980s, and he plays in a ton of events from the past 8 years I've followed him on and off.

He's up millions. As anyone would be with modern 25nl skills since 1985.
Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.

In other news Ivey finished 2nd in a pot limit holdem event and i'm pretty sure it was against the guy from the "worst laydown ever"-thread...
Bleh he can't be that bad if he won 12 bracelets. He is recordholder no matter how u turn it. Not saying i'm a big fan or something he would never beat online MTT's but it seems he knows how to beat them live.

Hellmuth is one of the best tournament players of all time. No question. He's a douche bag and has cash game skills the equivalent of a 25nl rakeback pro, but he is one of the best in the world at understanding cEV.
NeillyJQ: I really wanted to prove to myself I could beat NL200, I did over a small sample, and believe Ill be crushing there in the future.

hate all you want - this is good for poker. if some sick online player wins, you're all "yeah, he deserved it, etc" but no one outside of online poker regs will have ever heard of him. companies market around phil, he is on tv, people who do not play poker know who he is. when someone like him wins a bracelet, it will draw (hopefully) more sponsors and more prominent tv slots, and the better the tv slot, the more people will watch. if the people watch, they will get curious. if they are curious, they will want to play, and if enough people want to play, there would be no stopping online poker. think about it - razz NEVER gets on tv, because some sick razz player wins. hellmuth won, so maybe they will show a little bit on tv, or it will make news, etc.
also, i think its funny that all of you trash phil, most of you likely haven't met him, and you cannot deny the accomplishment of 12 bracelets, no matter how many MTTs. those top pros play with bounties on them, in a sense, because so many people want a story against them and will take gambles, or play their absolute A game.
i think your focus should go back on what really matters - where are ferguson and lederer?

and as an aside i havent played against him, but i have seen the whole brat persona. when i met him away from the table, he was really nice and took time to chat for a couple of minutes and take a picture even when he was in a hurry and busy. i am not saying anything one way or another about his character....just my personal experience....then again, so many of you worship jungleman even though he's a cheater
