Going 3/14-3/18

Was wondering what are some good poker rooms? Also do you know of any that spread a limit game (20/40 and up)??

What are some attractions? Good Clubs? Strip Clubs?

Things to do? Things not to do?

Thanks - and if anyone is around Vegas let me know I'd love to meet some LP'ers

bellagio pretty much always has some reasonably high stakes limit games going, but i don't think you'll find limit action anywhere else. mirage maybe? but i don't play there...it's worth a shot, i definitely recall having heard about 60/120-ish limit running at mirage on multiple occasions.

for other NL games, aria is always running a couple 5/10s and usually has one or two 10/20s, and all of them are good games because the 5/10 regs are sick nits and the 10/20 tables form around fish. venetian's always got a lot of tables running and wynn sometimes has good action, but those two rooms don't run anything higher than 2/5 often - on busy weekends and such definitely but not otherwise. you'll be in town for a generally very busy few days so all of the bigger rooms should have a lot of action. bellagio's 5/10 is constantly running on several tables but the buyin is capped at 1500 and the games are typically 10-handed so it's got a ton of nit regs. bellagio's often got a 10/20 or two running as well but i can't comment on the quality of that game, it doesn't look good when i walk by it most of the time.

as for attractions...cirque du soleil shows are worth the $80-150 price by and large. i strongly recommend O at bellagio, Mystere at TI, or Viva Elvis at Aria, in that order. i do NOT recommend other shows, at all - vegas is mostly filled with horrible entertainment failures, cirque being one of only very few exceptions. ehh there just aren't a lot of "attractions" here, it's mostly about just partying with extreme rage.

my club recommendations, again in order of preference: XS at Encore, Tryst at Wynn, Tao at Venetian, Lavo at Palazzo. you could also swing into Bank at Bellagio but most people don't think too highly of it. basically go to XS if you want to hear house/trance, and go to Tryst if you want to hear pop/hiphop.

as for strip clubs, i don't recommend going anywhere other than Rhino, but Rhino will likely be INSANELY crowded and difficult to get into on the days that you're in town. Sapphire is also acceptable. anything else is pretty shitty.

anyway my birthday is the 16th and i'll be having some type of party, and i'm for sure gonna be raging somewhere on St Patty's day, so shoot me a PM if you want to meet up.

visit the Cosmopolitan at weekend nights, hottest club in town and the female/male ratio is insane, god knows why, you can hit the afterparty a few blocks from there... cant remember if its in the mirage but i think it is.

Its a shame the cosmoplitan doesnt have a poker room but you can hit the Aria as myth said which is just next to it, grind all day and then hit the club at cosmopolitan, i didnt find any 10/20 game but there were 5/10 games and nosebleeds running in the back where i saw Elezra

i agree definitely visit the cosmo its really nice. also marquee is an awesome club... but its flawed severely. whenever there's a big act u simply cant get onto the dance floor, bouncers will body block and will only let u in if u tip like $50 lol. its also a clusterfuck to get into if u dont have a connect. XS is as good if not better and set up much better

The typical club here pays lots of models to go to the club and hang out nearby.*

hit up a afternoon pool party if you can, not sure which ones are good during the period you are going,

but most of them on week-ends are awesome, only went to Palms Ditch Fridays during WSOP and it was awesome

Even so, the volume of women was too high to care about some paid models, anyway not important, all i was saying is that the Cosmopolitan looks like the place to party but its probably expensive

I'll be in Vegas from 3/14-3/19 too. I'm probably just going to be drinking a ton and betting on the tournament.

Myth - I'll hit you up when I get in town. I'm staying at the mig mansion with the brothers Hinkle. Should be a grand time.

Of course it was a good shove, I won
