Other

- The event was expected to host the finals of Strikeforce's Heavyweight Grand Prix with Josh Barnett taking on Daniel Cormier, but the bout did not materialize due to Cormier's lingering hand injury.
- Gegard Mousasi was expected to face Mike Kyle at this event, but Kyle withdrew due to injury.
- Derek Brunson was scheduled to face Ronaldo Souza on this card. However, the Ohio State Athletic Commission denied his fight license based on an eye exam he had submitted. Bristol Marunde has signed as his replacement.

Daley > Misaki (Never seen Misaki fight)
Jacare > Marunde (Marunde is a late replacement)
Sayers > Smith (I'm sick of thinking Smith is average, kid is below average)

Fodor > Healy (Should be a good match, both fighters are decent fighters. Healy is an oversized Lightweight, so hopefully Fodor is prepared)

Bowling > Saling (I'm surprised Bowling is so low on the card)

Rousey by armbar?

I think Noons is pretty overrated. Just lost decisively to Masvidal, and Thomson should be a level above that. He's also really small and tiny.

Daley is just kinda because Misaki isn't taking things that serious since Pride died. He's getting old and just fought Akira Shoji haha. Misaki is mostly standup and Daley should have the edge there. One of the issues is Daley might punch himself out of it since Misaki is incredibly durable.

Cormier is a bit of an educated guess. He keeps improving so rapidly while Barnett doesn't. Barnett shouldn't be able to take him down and it'll be a close fight on the feet.

How many fights have you watched from Cormier, Naz? I only watched the fight against Pezao. These odds are a surprise to me.

- Noons looked better in his last fight against Billy Evangelista, but Thomson is just a more well rounded fighter what has been plagued with injuries in the peak of his career.

- Daley looked better in his last Strikeforce fight, even though he got wrestle fucked. It took awhile for him to get taken down since Daley has been working hard on TDD.

- Cormier vs. Barnett is not on this card. Cormier isn't sure when he can return yet, due to his injured hand.
MMA websites think he will return at the next Strikeforce card, which is on May 19th at Strikeforce 40.

Ronda Rousey is a -350 favorite against champion Miesha Tate (+250).

Rousey is bigger, stronger, and has a lot of experience in Judo matches vs. some of the best guys out there, and has been working a lot on her BJJ (as seen in her training with Nick Diaz).

Tate is smaller, not as strong, and has a lot more MMA experience than Rousey, but Tate left team Alpha Male over 1 month ago and is training at some random gym in Southern California with some former muay thai champion, no idea where she's training her ground game at, which is most important in this match.

It's hard to say who has the better striking since Tate's striking isn't great, and Rousey only has 4 MMA fights where she ended them all in under 2.5 minutes in total by arm bar.
I would think Rousey could eat a couple shots before getting into the clinch and taking Tate down to the floor.
