Stim, lets put some bets down.

I'll take Bendo > Edgar @ $10
Rampage > Bader @ $10

Via which form of payment?

I got Merge HeroPoker money but other than that... bank wire fee's are more than the bet lol.

Also have no interest in taking Bader > Hampage. I said I thought Hampage was the favorite, just wouldn't be surprised to see rampage lose due to being retarded.

Do you use Wells Fargo? Same bank to bank transfers are possible.

If yes, we can make it $20 since there's no bet on the black monsta.

I have a feeling that Hunt will KO the fuck out of Kongo

Edgar > Henderson
There is a reason he's the best fighter at lightweight. He beat a legend (BJ Penn) twice as a huge underdog and showed incredible resilience against maynard. Though henderson is good, I think he's just outmatched here.

Jackson > Bader
There is no shame getting owned by Jon Jones. Jackson is still a great fighter even though he's getting older and I think his experience and power will give him an advantage over Bader.

Kongo > Hunt
Last time I watched Hunt he gassed out hard. Not very knowledgeable about their exact fighting styles but when in doubt I pick the big, intimidating black guy.

Shields > Akiyama
Sure he lost to GSP and Jake Ellenburger but Shields has an excellent resume and ground game. I feel he's gonna have his way with Akiyama on the ground the entire fight.

Okami > Boetsch
Being a top three middleweight in the division has to account for something. Silva makes everybody look like shit, but against normal fighters Okami is one of the best. I think he'll use his experience and strength to pull this one out.

Hyoki <> Palaszewski
No idea. I don't care about this one.

Pettis > Lauzon
I love watching Lauzon and was impressed with his submission on Guillard. Unfortunately, Pettis has a solid ground game to combat lauzon and I think he is much better in that department.

Have a small bet on Edgar $125 at -125. Just a hunch but not really a solid read. Not really a good card for bets, missed out on all the good lines when they came out. Maybe I'll go small on Rampage at -245. Hunt hit +280 at one point which could have been a decent bet.

I actually think Akiyama has a good chance here.. Shields is grossly overrated imo. I've yet to see a good fight from him ever since he moved down to UFC Welterweight. Akiyama looks ripped at Welter and not short and stocky like he did @ Middle and I think he has an edge in stand-up. Interesting fight with ton of variables. We don't know how Akiyama is cardio is now that he's lost weight, who can take who down?, etc etc. Also can't forget that Akiyama is a Olympic gold-medal Judoka, we just never seen him use it now for some reason... He seems to like standing up and putting on a performance.

Cant quite grasp how this fight goes. I can see Akiyama knocking out Shields quickly or win a decision after 3 rounds of mostly stand up. But then I can also see him gassing quickly and getting subbed.

Edit: There's also the fight being in Japan thing. Jet lag is always an issue. The fight just smells so much like an upset.

If Akiyama somehow pulls this one out, there might be a chance that we see Akiyama vs Nick Diaz somewhere in the future lol. Nick will prob win but there will definitely be a awesome fight in that cage. Also would not be surprised to see Akiyama retire after fighting Shields regardless of the result.

akiyama has 0 knockout power, and no gas tank. Shields via dry humping. possibly RnC

This topic made me think of Denis Kang (lost to Akiyama a long time ago when people were saying Kang was one of the best in the world). He is on a three fight losing streak outside of the UFC, hurts to look at. Nothing but a shell of the man he was before his fiancee killed herself.

Didn't know that about him, thats a horrible shame.

He always struck me as someone who had great individual skills, but when against good competition/pressure always kind of fell apart in fights. Was also inconsistent against lower tier guys as well.

Hopefully he has enough reputation to be well off with his own gym or something of the like.

I'd wish him luck on turning his career around but he's 34, and has been fighting a really long time with a huge number of fights and his last two were TKO losses. So it's probably about time to hang them up.

WTF Frankie always had amazing fights !
How could u say such a thing ....

+ u think Bader can possibly wrestlefuck Rampage ?
Rampage never got wrestlefucked ever (or at least i cant remember a fight where he got)
Rampage has one of the best takedown defence around

strange post by u

I do agree that he's amazing now but first he killed BJ which got me a little bit upset (I like BJ) and before that I just saw him as a boring dude without power. It's mostly since his last two Maynard fights I've gotten to like him. I think I'm really biased against smaller dude's unless they're submission grapplers or KO artists. Don't really like small dudes with wrestling. I know that's stupid because they put up a lot of good fights but I dunno, guess I'll have to learn.

My top pics as far as small dudes goes in terms of "I want to watch them" would be something like:

Jung Chan-Sung, for obvious reasons, Aoki for being a submission wizard crybaby that looks funny, Jimy Hettes who's hype train I'm and Barao (spelling?) for being such a bad ass.

I kind of think Rashad managed to wrestlefuck him a little bit. At least a quickie each round. Bader is probably a worse wrestler then Rashad as far as takedowns in MMA goes, but I just threw it out there. Not sure how motivated Rampage is but he's not getting beat on the feet by some guy with power and a decent overhand right. I agree with stim that he might just put him against the cage and bore the fuck out of everyone though.

Meh I mean even though Rashad took Rampage down and what not, if Rampage wasn't such a little bitch now he had his chance to finish him. I'm sure he'll have way more openings against Bader, who got basically KO'ed by Tito before getting Subbed. I used to love Bader, but he hasn't really improved all that much....

Do you even know what DK stands for?

hendo vs edgar

Edgar is a great fighter with a giant heart and all but his last few fights have just been really really close, with even the questionable first fight vs bj. This category is stacked with great fighters who seem pretty evenly matched and hendo has found a way to actually dominate a few of them, the last two fights clearly dominating guida and miller who are at the top of the ladder as far as quality fighters goes. He dominated them not by some lucky punch but through 3 grueling rounds. He just seems stronger and hungrier than the rest. I'd give him the edge in this fight, specially if the weight difference between both will be significant.

rampage vs bader

This fight seems closer than oddsmakers are saying. Both fighters are limited in skills but Bader is younger and more motivated, while rampage has been going to interviews with words of 'retiring in a near future' and 'doesnt care if win or lose just wants a bang'.

funny interview with rampage talking smack on joe rogan:

Hunt for those odds is a definite bet, yes he will gas and if this goes to a decision Kongo will win it every time, However Hunt is far more dangerous with his hands than Kongo, Kong will try to stay outside his range and pick him apart but i think Kongo is very bad at that.

Hunt is actually more dangerous Pat Barry but with less gas, and Barry had that fight in the pocket, its very easy to catch Kongo when he is running and he gets caught up in a more aggressive fight than he wants to very easily

Actually Kongo has a pretty good track record recently of taking down strikers and beating them up on the ground. He's used his offensive wrestling a lot more than people think. Not sure why he didn't in the Pat Barry fight. Maybe it was because Pat Barry was so short he was worried about getting under his center of gravity or something. Aside from Pat though, pretty much every single striker he's faced he's taken down for the vast majority of the match. Even strikers much lower level than him like Buentello.

But yea in general Kongo takes down strikers, and he should be plenty good enough to take down hunt and beat him up on the ground.

That said +280 I guess would be pretty close.
