Poker streaming

Thanks for all of your input guys (and gals). I've been streaming almost everyday for the last 10 days, with decent results considering I don't play high stakes or and I'm not a celeb/known. I'll have to incorporate a delay (prolly 4-6 mins I'd say, cause i still want the "live" vibe) before I'm ready to unleash this thing on LP/P5s/2+2 .... but I just wanted to update you guys on how its progressing, and to thank you for your input.

In the first week I had 1300 views and 4 followers, as of today I'm at 1800+ views with 10 followers. Helps that I final tabled a couple times (4th and 2nd), and that I streamed my personal coaching session.

After I get some nice production stuff going (a nice overlay made, and set up some hotkeys for switching around cameras/the screen to accommodate how many tables im playing) it'll be good to go.

A good delay, since if u stream live expect your money to be taken within minutes from ppl watching ur cards live.

lol... well yeah. right now im just loading up sngs/mtts and then streaming. not too worried about stream-sniping at the moment. thanks though

but i was thinking more from the entertainment side. what would keep people tuning in

what about skype calls with different poker buddies of mine discussing theory? or maybe with my coach during my coaching sessions (with his approval)?

That would basicly be free coaching for everyone that watches you, (Except for the money you would be making from your viewers with ads and stuff, which in that case would be you making money out of your coach)

Poker buddies discussing theory sounds like a boring idea.. like i said its really difficult to get a poker related stream going , the game is pretty slow and can be dangerous to let possible opponent know which cards you had a few minutes ago.

Yeah, I'd make him aware of that and such... I'd def ask for his permission first.

yeah, theory is boring. im just kinda throwing ideas out there. im a funny guy, it seems like there are few opportunities to let that shine through during the commenting.. I'd need more people in the convo it seems.

that being said, i'd watch atleast 2-5 minutes, and maybe more if you're a fun person or amazing player, or even better, both.

u gotta be breaking things down, if u use a stream, use justin.tv, u can ask for hh analysis on the chat box etc while on the go in the game. doesn't sound stupid, but ya, atleast a 3 minute delay, but if i was at ur tbl, id just go back and see if u were bluffing or not.

I'd watch if you were Phil Galfond but only for maybe 5 minutes before I got bored and left.

I've included music, camera on me, and a view of my screen. without other people there to talk to, its kinda hard to just force conversation. Might just be cause I feel uncomfortable, but I'll link you guys soon when I feel I have it where I want it.

40 minute delay seems good. I mean, PCA was broadcast with 40min delay, and all the players where frantically checking all the hands to see hold cards of their opponents. Cant say that whole idea was a good thing, but I do think its going to happen more often. So having a stream with 40min delay would make sense. Only problem with delay is, you cannot communicate with your viewers. A tricky one.
