If you plan on getting it in I think check/shove is better than pot/call because most people will stab a small amount if you check.

Hate these spots though.

Can you explain your reasoning behind 4betting pre Quentin?

I'm still learning PLO and really have no idea when I do flop these types of hands in 3/4b pots with not much money left. I usually just c/f though

online bob is actually a pretty smart person, not at all like the creepy fucker that sits in the sofa telling me he does nasty shit to me when im asleep - pinball

Yeah I don't really understand the 4 bet pre, are you balancing your range or isolating something you can play perfectly against? I agree with check-shove if you're trying to win in this spot because it's the only way you're ever taking it down and this is just a really gross spot where you only really block top set but honestly I'd just puke/fold because it seems silly to stack off here.

just 4bettin for value cuz villain s 3bettin like 20% vs sb steal
and AQT7ss is like top12% and dsnt flop too bad either

I'd bet small and fold to a raise and I'd do that with everything I'd like to get it in with too.

yea i do that too cuz its the "less bad" option but i think its pretty easy to exploit esp when ure oop. i find myself abusing regs who do that so they prob do that to me too and i dont like the thought of it : /

I wouldn't 4bet this if I was deeper. 100bb stacks this plays fine being OOP. If you're OOP and you're deep, you need a really well playable hand to 4bet.

if nobody is stackin off with 1.5PSB left, what SPR do you need to start pot/calling this flop w say naked AAxx
1PSB left?

How often does he have 2 hearts? That's probably for a math wizard to figure out. If it's like 10-20% or whatever I don't think pot/calling is bad. He's probably not gonna fold Q9 or a set, but he might fold other hands that have good equity against you.

I think 4betting pre and bet/calling is perfectly fine.

Then again my mind may have been corrupted by reading the latest Rail Heaven threads.

I think I play entirely too tight in PLO from reading this thread, I'd be debating folding this hand pre =/.

just play a little with the "rank" function on poker pro tools to get a good feel of whats a good preflop hand etc

Also I just noticed it was blind vs blind with everyone else folded out--I might consider raising, now that I think about it, and I guess repotting is quite threatening to the opponent in this spot preflop. I guess your range looks pretty strong here to be reraising from the small blind and you can rep a lot of stuff on a lot of flops if your 4bet pre range is this wide.

I'm not questioning you, I just want to know more for my own information--why is this hand so strong? I mean, I get that it's a top % hand objectively but I think I'd rather put myself into situations where I can easily know exactly what to do postflop and this hand runs into a lot of situations where I'm like well, that flop sucks, I guess I'll just rep the nuts. I always thought position was uber important in PLO and I think I'm just not good enough at the game to recognize flops and know what to rep/bet/do on them.

(Thanks for taking time out to help me, i love the action from PLO and wanna get better at it but i don't have a way to get insight aside from people telling me stuff like this online.)
