Tournament about 250 people baught in, 700$ buy in about 15pct of field get paid. Tourney started with 50/100 blinds and 20k starting stack. Blinds go up every 40min. Tables are 10 handed. I have been the tightest player at the table and i'm sure most of the players are aware of that. Blinds are at 200/400 - i just managed to chip up from 9k to 16k, when this hand happens.i decide to raise T9dd from MP, fish on button calls and sb, decent laggy player calls.

Flop Kd6d2d, about 3500 in the pot i lead for 1600, cause fish on button likes to raise alot in position, as expected button (22k stack) raises to 5k and now SB(33k stack) who checked to me flats the raise. I'm sure that sb is very aware of my image and the fact that button is a monkey. Shove/call or fold?

Sorry, this handt happened 30 minutes ago. I have almost no experience at live tourneys. Also, sorry typing from phone. Advice appreciated.

Not really the greatest live tournament player ever but I don't think you can fold. Fishy seems very wide and the laggy dude probably knows this so he's fairly wide as far as stuff like sets, maybe a King with a high diamond or something like that.

I'd just peal and check to the button on the turn and see what happens. Plan probably never to fold vs the retard and hate life if button bets and sb puts more money in the pot. I like your position though.

Previous hand i played vs the laggy player. Blinds where 150/300 and starting stacks about 20k for me and utg, sb han about 25k. My table image was very tight. Utg (loose player) limps, i raise 4x from mp with AQss, laggy villain calls from the small blind and utg calls.

Flop AQK rainbow with no spades. Gets checked to me i bet 1/2 pot he minraises me, utg folds i call.

Turn 6, still rainbow he shoves and i fold.

this is the kinda spot where you are happy its live and try to get a read on the sb. its pretty disgusting if you have no read as he has lots of nut flushes but also some marginal hands like KxJd KxQd type stuff. i think he has enough marginal to shove though

shove shove shove imo

"Flop Kd6d2d, about 3500 in the pot i lead for 1600, cause fish on button likes to raise alot in position, "

from what ive gathered, you are betting less to induce a raise?? this should be your standard lead amount into this/any spot, anything more is excessive and bad imo.

lets say pot is 3500 like it is, and you are trying to figure out how much to bet (doesnt matter if you have the nuts or its just a cbet)... if you think about it, anything over half pot is excessive and wasting chips. the reasoning behind this is.. if hes folding, hes folding... if hes calling, hes calling... so save yourself chips if hes calling on ur cbets, or get him to call you with worse holding on your monsters. if hes calling 1600, hes calling 2200, and prolly 2500 too... so just bet around half pot every time. :O

I don't really like leading here, c/c seems much better in general- kind've puke spot, I don't really think it's a fist pump shove, that cold call is really scary. Can't imagine people stacking off with KxQd hands too often rly
