<img src="http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/760a3.Joey.jpg" align="right" style="margin:5px; border:0px solid black;">Prop bets have become very popular in the poker world in the past few years, and we see more and more random propbets being made by poker players each day. With tens of thousands of dollars being put on peoples' performances, these bets can be both lucrative and entertaining to watch.
There are not many propbets important enough for us to make a newspost about, but when one of our very own users attempts to break a world record (most hands played in a day having to show profit), things get special. The previous record for this achievement was set just a week ago, on November 25th, by Russian online player “innerpsy”, who played a little over 40,000 hands in a 24h period. A few days ago, JoeIngram1, decided to try to break that mark and set a new world record.
Needless to say, it got everyone excited, as over $30,000 and a World Record were on the line for Joe. It was meant to be one of the most interesting world record attempts of the year. With a lot of good grinders out there, people knew that the task would be very effort-demanding, but reaching 50k hands was possible. However, to reach that mark while obtaining profit was a different story. But, like someone said in his blogpost comments, JoeIngram1 was a hero in the making, and he did it!
He played all the hands at NLHE or PLHE $0.10/$0.25 games, and only those hands counted for the record/bet. He also had to show a profit and ensure that it was him who was playing the entire time, so the session was broadcast over the internet through a webcam.
The betting was laid at 2.5:1 odds, with JoeIngram1 risking $13,180 to win $32,950.
The final moment came after 20 hours and two minutes of non-stop play, when JoeIngram1 cracked the 50,000 hand mark holding $850.35 in profits, meaning he set the new world record and cashed ~$34,000 in a single day. JoeIngram1 continued on for a bit and played 470 hands more before calling it a day.
That's a mind blowing dedication, so we proudly congratulate JoeIngram1 for achieving such an awesome feat!

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

It's Athene? Famous WoW player who has a huge following and almost 300k subscribers to his youtube channel. He's more famous than most pokerstars pros, how is there nothing to gain?

the russian guy did not turn a profit. i think he turned a huge loss -$30k?, he did it at 2/4 though which is a lot more impressive then 25nl.
Joe, you seem like a really cool guy. Wish you all the best in your poker career, man. And don't spend all the money you've earned on strippers. Save a bunch for some jelly bears, ok?
