One should think Dwan and Antonius should be playing those events, but yesterday, they had better things to do than that. In a sick 15 hour session we finally saw some more progress in this longdrawn heads-up challenge.
The biggest lead we've seen so far was a $500,000 lead for Patrik Antonius, but in a few smaller sessions after that, the gap got a little smaller as Dwan won a few $100k and it was "only" about $300k when this session started. However, the last session, which lasted 15 hours and 4,523 hands, changed everything! Antonius went from winner to massive loser and Dwan went from zero to hero, winning around 1 million dollar in a single session and he's now up $726,546 !
Even though the biggest pot went to Antonius, a stunning $477,556 (that's a pot of well over 1000bb!), it was still Durrrr who completely crushed his opponent. At one point he was even ahead over $1,000,000, which means he won close to 1.5 million in a single session, but what a session it was!
It all ended with the following chat: durrrr: i need to sleep sry
durrrr: been barely keeping my eyes awake the last 5hrs
durrrr: was planning on napping 14hrs ago lol
durrrr: anyway gg, ill be able to play some more rest of this week except 10k plo
Patrik Antonius: ok
Patrik Antonius: gg gn This session brings it to a total of 20,647 hands out of the 50,000. It's far from over, and while we can't yet speak of a decisive blow by Dwan, this is definitely one he'll remember. |
