There were some great hands in the last few weeks, so we are very excited to share some of these hands with you guys. In this bulletin we are going to show you some of the best hands from the last week of May and hands from the beginning of June. Let’s take a look at May’s hands first.
** High Stakes Hand of the Week (5/26 – 6/1) **
The winning hand of this week is just crazy. Sebboss shows us insane soul-reading skills. His opponent played very aggressive and lead out on every street, for Sebbos to call him down with no pain. In the end, he pocketed a 421bb pot with Ace-high, King kicker.
Sebbos makes three difficult calls holding just Ace high.
Runner-up: We have two 2nd-best hands this time. In the first one, FrinkX shows us a some of his poker skills by making a sick call on the river when the board doesn’t really help him. It’s a very drawy board, with both flush and straight possible, and he makes an unbelievable call with just the third pair to win a 270bb pot!
FrinkX makes impressive call and wins a sweet pot
Runner-up #2: In the next hand, wobbly_au is sitting in a $5/$10 deep-stacked game holding a pair of Jacks. Villain minraises UTG and wobbly just flats, despite having a strong hand. The flop comes 779, with 2 spades, and villain check-calls wobbly’s standard bet. The turn brings a scary card, a King, and both players check. Yet another scary card falls on the river, this time an Ace. Villain makes a small bet and wobbly raises, which is countered with a 3-bet. Put on a decision, wobbly makes the right choice, a call. Villain shows a busted straight flush draw and wobbly takes a sweet pot with just 3rd pair.
wobbly busts his opponent’s bluff with a pair of jacks
** Low/Mid Stakes Hand of the Week (5/26 – 6/1) **
As the #1 hand of that week we have a really sweet play by JonnyCosmo. He was sitting on the BB in a $2/$4 6-handed game when he called an UTG raise holding Deuces. Both players checked a 433 with two hearts board. When the nine of spades fell on the turn, Cosmo fired $20 into $26 and called a standard raise from villain. The river is where things got interesting. It brought a five of hearts, and Cosmo check-raised on a really scary board holding just an underpair. His opponent made the call, hoping to win with his kicker (Ace), but that wasn’t enough to beat Cosmo’s awesomeness.
JonnyCosmo’s check-raise gets him a nice value from just A-high
** High Stakes Hand of the Week (6/2 – 6/8) **
The best hand of this week was played by PoorUser. The man used the board to his advantage and made a sick bluff with 24s on board filled with face cards to make his opponent fold. The most important action happened on the turn, when he bet-called his opponent’s raise. After that a small bet ($280 into $1,865) was enough to make villain fold. Sick!
PoorUser’s unreal bluff
** Low/Mid Stakes Hand of the Week (6/2 – 6/8) **
The winning mid stakes hand happened in a heads-up where both players were really deepstacked. The hero in this hand is exalted, who was holding a pair of Sevens and called villain’s pre-flop 3-bet. When the 842ss flop came, villain fired a pot-sized bet and exalted flat-called. The turn was an eight of diamonds, which paired the board, Once again, villain bet and exalted flatted. The river brought a five of diamonds, which made a straight possible. This time villain checked and pushed, putting exalted on a tough decision. Our hero soul-read his opponent and made the call, taking down an impressive 700bb pot!
exalted makes an impressive call to win monstrous pot
Runner-up: The next hand was played by Sunday Million winner TimDawg. Tim made an impressive move with just a gutshot straight draw, making his opponent give up after the turn. Holding KQhh in a $2/$4 6-handed game, Tim raised UTG and got called. The 69Jr flop gave him a 4-outer draw. What happened next was a check-raise by his opponent, which he called. When the turn brought the five of spades, his opponent decided to fire a bet, which Tim countered with a strong raise. Villain couldn’t stand the sheer awesomeness of Tim’s move and folded, giving up a 84bb pot.
TimDawg’s sweet move makes opponent fold his hand
** Tournament Performances (5/26 – 6/8) **
Obviously the most impressive tournament performance of this bulletin belongs to Raszi. The Dutchman final tabled one of the most important tournaments of the year, the WSOP $40,000 NLHE event, and cashed a whooping $277,940. Grats, Raszi!
Some other LPers did have incredible results as well, here it goes:
- iop finished in 3rd place in the $163 double stack at Full Tilt Poker and pocketed $7,148.
- neilly was the runner-up in the $30k guarantee at PokerStars for a $3,700 prize.
- kaisr got himself a 3rd place finish in the $5,50 at PokerStars, earning $1,650 for his run.
- acdawg712 won the PLO $5,000 guarantee at Full Tilt Poker. He earned $1,497 for the victory.
Congratulations guys! Thanks for posting your hands and tournament results! |

| Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol | |
