Raszi Final Tables WSOP $40,000 event

The whole thing has just started and we already have a LP-representative in an important final table. It’s Lex "Raszi" Veldhuis, who played his way to the final table of the $40,000 NLHE event, which attracted 209 players. It was kinda obvious that such an expensive tournament would draw the attention of the cream of the crop of the poker scene, and that's exactly what we saw by just checking the players list.

Some other LPers who played this tournament are Myth, Mig, Elky, FrinkX and Peachy. Unfortunately all of them departed at some point of the 4-day event. Great players such as Durrr, Isaac Baron, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Phil Ivey have taken part in this tournament as well.

So, this is the final day of the tournament and only nine players have a shot at the title. Excitement surrounds the place, which is really crowded. Our very own Raszi is third in chips and he counts with the special support of Evelyn Ng (pic), his girlfriend. The tournament offers such sick prizes that its result alone is enough to make Raszi surpass his current live tournaments winnings. He’s facing really tough opposition at the final table, including WSOP Main Event champion Greg Raymor and tournament specialists Isaac Haxton, Alec Torelli and Justin Bonomo.
