Corwin "Mig_com" Sick hero Mackey got the second big win of his live tournament poker career this weekend. He took down the $3,000 NLHE event of the WPT Five Diamond Poker Classic series that is taking place at the Bellagio, in Las Vegas! The tournament had a turnout of 204 registered players, and the event itself lasted two days. In the first day they played it out to 13 players, and in the second they played until the end of the 9-handed final table.

Some of Mig's opponents in the final table were really good players, like Vivek "psyduck101" Rajkumar, who recently took down the WPT Borgata Poker Open, and Amit "AMAK316" Makhija, winner of the FTOPS X Event 22. Rajkumar finished the tournament in 6th place, while Makhija was eliminated in 3rd place, despite having a pretty good performance, according to Mig. Elky also played and did well in this tournament. He was eliminated in 12th place though, cashing in $6,535.

The heads-up was really fast, as it only lasted two hands. Mig couldn't have asked for a better hand at that point: Aces. The blinds were 10k/20k and he minraised to 40k. Getzwiller makes the call. Flop comes J-8-X with 2 hearts. Getzwiller bets 200k and Mig shoves having him covered. Getzwiller shows QJ for the top pair, what is obviously not enough to defeat Mig's hand. The board doesn't change a thing and Mig wins the event. As the champion, he pocketed a very nice prize of $207,305! Congratulations Mignator!

Final standings:

    1. Corwin "Mig" Mackey - $207,305
    2. Sean Getzwiller - $124,990
    3. Amit Makhija - $71,020
    4. Farzad Rouhani - $39,760
    5. G. Richard Tatalovich - $31,250
    6. Vivek Rajkumar - $25,565
    7. Jon Turner - $17,045
    8. Robert Firestone - $11,365
    9. Remy Biechel - $9,090
    12. Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier - $6,535

Has Mig grown up? He looks much better than before methinks

Not that i'm gay.

Why can't a heterosexual guy,
tell a heterosexual guy
that he thinks his booty is fly.
Not all the time, obviously,
just when he's got a problem with his self esteem.
Don't let anybody tell you you're not humpable.
Because you're bumpable.
Well, I hope this doesn't make you feel uncomfortable.

I am a NL25 player so take my advice/comments in that perspective

very nice score

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time
