PokerStars introduces Russian Poker Tour

PokerStars has decided that this is the moment to introduce the Russian Poker Tour!

In the first season of the Russian Poker Tour, players will be able to play in just two events: the first Russian Poker Tour event will be held January 25th - February 1st, 2009 in St. Petersburg and it will have a $5,000 buy-in. The second stop will be in the capital of Russia, Moscow! This tournament will take place February 22nd-28th, 2009 and will have a higher buy-in: $10,000.

PokerStars has already prepared a strong representation for the tournaments, along with two russian professionals: Alex Kravchenko (first Russian WSOP Bracelet winner and nr 4 in the WSOP Main Event of 2007) and 2008 WSOP Main Event runner-up Ivan Demidov, currently the two highest earning Russian players of all time.

PokerStars is already running satellites to the event so feel free to give it a shot!

russian fish have to be the worst type of fish skill wise

so whats the structure gonna b like? you start with 20bb and shortstack your way trough?

I really wish full tilt would make more of an effort to bring new countries full of fish to the game...
