<img src="http://admins.liquidpoker.net/staff/DeFraG/5_08_2008/empirecasino200x145.jpg" align="right" style="margin:5px; border: 1px solid black;"> Betfair, sponsor of this years World Series of Poker Europe, released new details about the upcoming WSOPE event. The good news for everybody participating in the event (not just players, but dealers, spectators and journalists as well) is that the series will be host in the same place.
During last year, the event was held at Empire, Sportsman and Fifty casinos in London, before the final game at the Empire. This caused a lot of problems for problems for everyone, so this year all the events will take place at the Empire Casino in Leicester Square (central London), instead of being spread around in different casinos.
There will be 4 events this year, starting with the 3-day £1,500 No Limit event at 19th of September, followed by a £2,500 HORSE-event 3 days later and a £5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 2 days after that. At 27th of September the 6-day £10,000 Main Event will be played. This way they will cover the most popular poker-formats and they will have the change to get decent TV-coverage from all the events as well.

September 19th , 2008 - Event #1 - £1,500 – No-Limit Hold'em Day 1A (3-day event)
September 22nd , 2008 - Event #2 - £2,500 – H.O.R.S.E. (3-day event)
September 24th , 2008 - Event #3 - £5,000 – Pot Limit Omaha (2-day event)
September 27th , 2008 - Event #4 - £10,000 – World Championship No-Limit Hold'em (6-day event) |
