This has been a big two weeks for LP. Some very impressive tournament performances with several LPers making final tables along with two wins. Nazgul is gone to Vietnam for a few weeks, so let's all wish him a safe and fun trip and get on to the hands of the week.
High-Stakes Hand of the Week
Straate is such a beast, that's about the only way I can describe the following hand. In a 25/50 HU game with him and sweetluvin7 sitting 260bb deep, Straate repops his opponent's 3bb open to 550. Seeing a flop of 338 rainbow straate leads for 800 and gets raised 1200 more. Straate calls the bet, seeing a turn of 5h, putting a flush draw on board. He checks and calls the 2250 bet into a 5100 pot. The pot is 9600 at this point. The river brings an offsuit 6 and he faces an allin of 8232 and snaps off his opponent's bluff with KJs to take down the 500bb pot with Ahigh.
I think we're all thinking about the same as sweetluvin7 in the chat that followed.
sweetluvin7: huh?
sweetluvin7: wtf just happened
straate: U LOST
sweetluvin7: how the hell did you call that?
straate: i clicked call

Low-Stakes Hand of the Week
While slumming it up at 50nl hu, Raszi is sitting with $65 effective stacks. He opens KQo to $1.5 and calls a reraise to $5. Seeing a flop of Tx7d4d he quickly calls the $7 continuation bet. The turn brings the flush completely 5d and it checks through. It checks to Raszi again and he bets 18. His opponent shoves all in and Raszi calls $36 more with just Khigh, beating his opponent's Jhigh bluff.

Tournament Performance of the Week
Far and away the top tournament performance of the week was our very own Ket taking gown that Grosvenoruk Poker Tour LEG 3 in London, England for an astounding £119,780($241,165)! Not too shabby! Congratulations Ket!
Honourable mention goes to JonnyCosmo who took down the $1500 Wynn Classic event for an impressive $98,753. He completely dominated the final table from start to finish, taking out 6 or the 8 players at it. Very nicely done.
All in all a very impressive couple weeks for LP. |

straate is clearly cheating, taking down a Ahigh pot with KJs on a 38856 board.

| Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat | |

not only can he see his opponents cards, he also has the ability to see the 5 community cards preflop |
