One of this year's most epic World Poker Tour final table's was set when the Phil's of the scene found themselves in the final 6 of the L.A. Poker Classic! The self-proclaimed best Hold'em player in the world, Phil Hellmuth, found himself sitting next to Phil Ivey, who - as a chipleader going to the final table - had the position on him. Ivey, widely considered one of the best, if not the best, overall player nowadays, has not yet been able to capture a World Poker Tour title, even though he has made several final tables in the past. So for Ivey, it wasn't just the money at the table, but also the title in one of the most prestigeous live tournaments out there! Another familiar face seen in the table was Nam Le, who had made some final tables in the past, certainly a force to be reckoned with even though he started the final table with a short stack.

So let's take a peek at the final table setup:

Seat 1: Quinn Do - 1,450,000
Seat 2: Nam Le - 1,180,000
Seat 3: Phil Hellmuth - 2,380,000
Seat 4: Phil Ivey - 4,100,000
Seat 5: Charles Moore - 1,510,000
Seat 6: Scott Montgomery - 2,680,000

While many people anticipated a heads up between Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey, unfortunately it never happened as Hellmuth busted out in the 6th place, taking home roughly ~$230,000 prize. Players kept falling after another and Ivey was just steamrolling the table. After a cruesome battle, the field was down to the last two players, the Juggernaut, Phil Ivey and Quinn Do, with Ivey starting with a 4-to-1 chiplead. The heads up didn't last long as Ivey's turned aces full held up against Quinn's midpair, no draw. Mr. Do just couldn't Do it this time and Ivey was crowned the champion for doing what Do couldn't do.

Ivey got a nice ~$1,500,000 boost to his golf bankroll and I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of him in the future in the pokertables as well. Great job, Mr. Ivey!! Congratulations!
