Amaya Gaming, owner of PokerStars and FullTilt, published official financial report of PokerStars for the third quarter of this year. There is a very important information regarding the lowering of the expectations for the whole 2015, and the reasoning is the high price of the dollar to other currencies, which translates into lower spending power of customers.
In the middle of this year Canadian-based company expected revenue of 1.5 billion Canadian dollars, however after the report this amount was lowered by 13%.
This definitely can seem like bad news for David Baazov and his company, but looking at the rest of the report it's far from tragedy. During the last 3 months Amaya Gaming earned 325 million Canadian dollars! Amaya managed to do that by cutting a lot of expenses connected with PokerStars.
Bases on the report it's also interesting that over 2,2mln players took part in the poker games, with another half a million playing casino and sports betting.
