Just few days ago a sad news broke out in the poker world: one of the highest rated online tournament players, Chad 'lilholdem954' Batista, has passed away aged 35.
Chad 'lilholdem954' Batista, also known online under his second screenname 'M8kingmoves', was the highest rated online tournament player from August 2007 until July 2008. In 2013 he scored his highest win during the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) at PokerStars for $264,408 (3rd place finish in a $2,100 buy-in No Limit Hold'em).
Batista had also decent scores in the live poker, where he came close to earning around $1 million, with the biggest score being WSOP Circuit Caesars Indiana Championship win in 2006 for $262,002.
Batista has been fighting with alcoholism and liver problems over many years, but the reason of his death is still unknown - friends informed the press that he "died suddenly with his family surrounding him". |

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen
